It's the perfect size for budgies and super easy to clean just take the top off and put back together super easily and doesn't leak! Latched to the cage well.

I keep society & zebra finches, and have both the Prevue small bird flight cage (style with nest door), and the "Yaheetech" 69-inch metal small bird cage (no nest door, only small food/water/access doors). The product was able to attach, but a gap was left on three sides, approximately the size of a society finch or zebra finch, making this product unsafe/unsuitable. I expected this may happen, and for the price, was willing to take the chance. I do wonder if it adapts to a particular style of cage in a way that is small bird suitable.. After all, it would not accommodate the larger end of mid-sized aviary birds, and is not necessarily securely attached in a way that would be suitable for a stronger parrot!

What I like about this product is that it is not thin and chintzy. Yes it's made of plastic but it's quite thick and not fragile at all. It took me about 5 Seconds to attach it to my cage. It is very sturdy. I am very happy I bought this particular bath from this particular seller. All the bad reviews I read about it are not true. It was not damaged and it is something that I'm sure my birds will enjoy. And if they don't enjoy it right away they will eventually. You cannot blame the product if the birds don't want to take it back when you want them to. Have a nice day.

Anyone who complains that this isn't a good item is nuts. It's a "universal fit" item so you may have to trim the tabs from the bottom (dark brown portion). It's really no big deal. it took me 30 seconds. The item is sturdy and spacious for your bird. And yes it's brown but the top portion has a brown/copper hue. It's a great addition to my flight cage and I ordered another one for my Parakeets food to keep the surrounding area clean. I've seen many other bird baths and personally if I was a bird I wouldn't want to take a shower in anything bright colored. But on the other hand, if I was a bird would I really care what color my shower was?

El clásico es de regular calidad y no es tan universal como dice (no cupo en las entradas de mi jaula). Sin embargo, es útil para el baño de los pájaros.

It's so strange because I've seen so many objections to the brown color! My preference would also be for a nice clear or pretty blue one, and definitely one that is one piece not two... but I tell myself, OK, I ain't the one using it! And my two finches have either seemed terrified by any of the prettier colored, and/or one-piece ones that have "shown up" in their cage (so I had to take the new bath out asap) or they just ignored it, which is also not OK. I don't want to risk disrupting access to bathing. It's too important, and it's clearly something they totally love doing. So I'm re-ordering this one, and praying it's still brown! I figure these two Finches are really sensitive to environmental change, and that might be why they quite often reject or avoid something new - including yummy (but new) foods. Also, in case it helps others, I should add that I did not hang this bath at the opening as it is designed for, because like some other reviewers I had trouble making the outside hanging arrangement work with the cage I have. Instead I removed the clips & I stand it at the bottom of the cage, against the back (the side opposite the door). I use a small plastic jar lid underneath to level it. It's worked fine this way. Maybe it's not as no-mess as hanging it on the outside: they can splash a fair amount of water around when they're both in there at the same time having a ball. But to me that's been an OK trade-off against the high likelihood that any bath protruding from their cage would get accidentally jostled or even knocked off, because of where their cage stands. Not only would that also be plenty messy, but I've learned the hard way that these will chip or crack if they hit the floor hard. I don't think it's something I could say is a product defect: it's made of a fairly thin rigid plastic which makes it light weight and attractive, and the floor is hard, not carpeted - and I've got dysfunctional hands, I do drop things. So I've patched the one I just dropped [Gorilla Brand "Clear Repair Tape "- fantastic stuff!], and I'm back here buying a new one again. I bought this last one in March last year, so it feels like an OK use-value for what it costs. Anyhow, I checked in to see if I could tell from what others were saying if it was still going to be the old brown-tinted one, and realized it was time I also contributed to the great buyer information that I've been so glad to be able to make use of - thanks everyone!

I wanted to like this bath. I was so optimistic. "Oh, reviewers usually exaggerate how much they dislike things," I thought as I clicked the button to buy it, "It won't be that bad."It was that bad. (Thanks for the refund, Amazon!)First, I started getting weird vibes when the packaging looked really dated. I checked on the bottom of it - and it was from 1985. (How do you not sell things in your warehouse for 30 years? What is going on??)Then I took it out of the box and it was the ugliest thing. I usually don't care what the color of it is, but this was like poo-brown. I don't really have a better way to describe it.Then... the actual process of trying to attach it to my bird's cage. There was no winning. It was too big for the openings in one of my bird's cages. It was slightly too small for the other bird's cage, but not small enough that she could get out."All right," I thought, "let's try this out."So I tried to get it onto the bigger cage.It was...difficult. Firstly, the bottom of the bath has a clip that the cage bars slide between. It was a tight squeeze. Once I got that part on, I realized I couldn't get the top of the bath on, because it slides on to the front. So I had to take the bath off, attach the top, and then try again.I don't know where they got the idea that the clips were "universal", because that just wasn't the case. They were too big for the bars of my bird's cage, so they didn't help in keeping the bath on the cage at all.So, by trying to get the bath to slide on, and clip the bath to the cage, all of the water spilled onto the floor of my dorm room, the floor of the cage, and my poor beleaguered budgie. If you love yourself/your birds, buy a different bird bath.

I had to trim parts off the bird bath and take 4 bars off the cage to make it fit. The description should include the size of cage opening required to install this without making modifications. Otherwise its ok. My birds don't go inside it, but use it as an extra water bowl. Maybe once they get used to it, they'll go inside. The picture shows a clear top, but its not clear and the birds may not like entering a dark area unless it was a nest. Suppose I could make it into a nest and they might love it.
