This interacts perfectly with my Nikon. All the electronics perform properly as though made by Nikon. The two sizes give a good range of magnification via 3 setups - 12, 24 and 36mm.Quality leaves nothing more to be desired so I'm happy with this accessory.

Works great with all my lenses. Autofocus works. No issues with a FTZ Adapter (I've used AF-S 24-120mm F4 with a FTZ II and these macro tubes. No issues other than I have to be in 50mm to use all 36mm of the tubes)I will say just use the 24 or the 12 if you have prime lenses below 50mm, otherwise the working distance for focusing becomes really tight. I've used 36mm on the 40mm F2 Z lens, and have about less than 1cm of working distance. The metal mounts on these tubes don't damage my lens mounts so that's a BIG PLUS! (Though I do wish it was a more polish metal)But great tool to get into simple macro photography (like with flowers, and miniature figures).

Despite the claim above, these are not made of metal. Yes, there's a metal plate for mounting, but the body is made of plastic. Not at all sturdy seeming.

VERY loose fit for Nikon Z-mount! The male (camera mount) end slides several degrees around; you can feel a bit of shift and space between the tube and camera mount. The female (lens mount) end is good and snug though. Seems to be made of brittle aluminum with pretty rough machining for the price of what you're trusting it to hold. Autofocus works well though and gets the job done. With both tunes stacked, about 30mm is the widest possible angle usable before the subject touches the lens. Good for indoor/studio shots, but it definitely wouldn't keep weather out AT ALL, and I don't fully trust it to be locked in good with all the movement. Though it's affordable and has autofocus capability, I wouldn't have minded paying a few dollars more for tighter tolerances on the camera mount end of the product.

I ordered it because a friend of mine in Japan suggested I do. I have a 24-50 Nikon Z5 lens that I was not thrilled with, nothing wrong with it but I have other over lapping lenses that I prefer. I wanted a macro lens and thanks to the VILTROX DG-Z for $52 I am now able to make excellent use of my 24-50 as a macro without paying $1000.00 for another lens. I was also impressed with the quality of the DG-Z, it was a great find and I highly recommend it
