Is a zero star rating possible? These RF extension tubes are virtually unusable. First, they are much too tight to install easily. In fact, they are almost impossible to stack with each other to a fully engaged position. Part of this is due to the fact that the mount mating surface is matted (tiny dimples) rather than smoothly machined. But, they are just too tight even if better finished. Also, the release buttons are tiny and maddeningly stiff. Then, there’s the fact that the 16mm tube does not pass lens registration through to my R-mount camera, rendering auto-focus, auto-exposure and exposure settings null and void. Frankly, I fear for damage to my camera from using them. The only positive is that the tubes are metal, and they should melt down and recycle nicely. My only regret is that I won’t be there to see them dissolve into a pool of molten metal.
