I have used this thermometer almost exclusively at home, having had bad experiences with both tympanic and temporal thermometers. This one consistently gives the most accurate temperature readings, and is easy to use and read. I would recommend it highly to anyone looking for these qualities.

I ordered two of these thermometers. Identical brand and model. One came in fine. The other came in with a cellophane ribbon wrapped around the packaging indicating it was complete, however upon opening the case we realized it was missing important items (that were included with the other thermometer that had never been opened before it arrived). It's a bit ridiculous to go to the trouble of putting a ribbon around a package that had obviously been opened previous to sale indicating that it was all complete. What a waste of time. The vendor should be admonished for this type of lack of quality control.

I wish the package comes with. premiere button battery, those good for 10 years, instead of the cheapest one that they can find. As is, the first trouble shooting suggestion is replace the battery. The last thing a sick person wants to do is open up the thermometer, take out the button battery, then go out to buy a correct replacement battery, then put the thermometer back and then check the temperature!
