The blue light with sticky cards is very effective at attracting and trapping the very small flying insects we have (probably gnats). They cut down on the population but do not eliminate. We have in four locations in the house, kitchen, a bathroom and two rooms with indoor plants. We are on our second box of refills. Easy to replace the cards, we replace every two weeks, place them where the blue light at night will not be a problem. Go ahead, try one.

This product really works at attracting all small flies. Easy to use, just plug in and bugs will start sticking to the paper. It’s alarming how many are in our house!

I use my garage as a man cave/office and spend about 75% of my day in here. Living in North Florida, where gnats are practically the regional bird, I needed a serious solution. I’ve tried other sticky traps, but none worked as well as the Veyofly trap.I set up two traps in my garage—one on the ceiling and one near the garage door. The ceiling trap (pictured) caught the most, while the one by the door still caught about half as many in the same time frame. After three weeks, I’m beyond impressed with how well they’ve worked. If you’re dealing with gnats, this is the best trap I’ve found. Highly recommend!

The light and the very sticky surface attract then snag the little buggers without mercy. This product works nearly perfectly in reducing the gnat population rather quickly. It definitely is not recommended by the gnats!

I bought this June 2023 (it’s now June 2024). I was very impressed with how well it works! I got the two pack so one in my kitchen and one in my bathroom. I think maybe a three pack would be nice for the living room too since I know it’s my house plants that attract the bugs. This caught loads of bugs! Fruit flies, gnats, regular flies, mosquitoes, moths, you name it! I think the placement plays a big role in its effectiveness so if it’s not working for you, try relocating.I take away 1 start cuz it’s EXPENSIVE for a plug in piece of plastic. And if you have a lot of bugs (or a fly lays it’s lil maggot bby eggs on the trap like it did on mine) you will have to replace the sticky pad often. It definitely retains its stickiness though I just think after a while it’s best to replace. Also out of the two pack, one of my plug ins completely stopped working early April 2024. The other one seems to be going strong but considering the price, it should def last years imo. It wasn’t just the light either, cuz If I pushed it into the plug, it would work. But without being forced to connect to the power, it was useless. What am I gonna do?? Tape it to the outlet? No thanks.Regardless, these work GREAT when functioning! I recommend not only to you, stranger, but to my family (Ive raved about these). I’m planning on getting a few more even though it gave out on me.

The principle of the Veyofly, utilizing a defined spectrum of light that flying insects are attracted to, assures that this device will reliably capture some flying pests. Specifically, it seems most effective on small insects like gnats, fruit flies and mosquitos. Whereas it is less effective attracting the common housefly.Although the Veyofly casts a bright circle (say, a bit larger than a foot in diameter) on the wall of a pleasing soft purple light, still it is no match for the bug attraction power of sunlight streaming indoors from your windows. Specifically, in daylight, I've observed common house flies buzzing over and banging into the pane of a window that is immediately above where the Veyofly is illuminated. The problem is further compounded by the fact that house flies don't seem to be "night fliers". For example, study what bugs swarm about over a porch light at night -- it's not black flies, but rather moths, mosquitos and tiny gnats. So, as your house becomes dark the "night flying bugs" will roam about and eventually be attracted to, and be caught, by the Veyofly. Whereas, house flies that have parked themselves, at dusk, outside of the immediate glow of the Veyofly are much less likely to find the device, since, by my theory, they are not night fliers. However, the above aside, my two Veyoflys have indeed caught a few house flies. But the kill rate, or effectiveness, seems like it's 10 to 1 in favor of the night fliers. On balance, it should be noted that I do attempt to keep house flies out of the house in the first place, so my population of these pests may be low relative other bugs.Lastly, it is very important that a category of insects the Veyofly has success with are mosquitos. For this reason alone it gets five stars. Also, a big plus is having no stinking chemicals to deal with. Changing out the Veyofly's "tacky card" every 2 - 3 weeks takes about 10 seconds, so maintenance is minimal. OEM replacement tack cards on Amazon are a bit pricey, but generics at half the price are available -- no experience with the quality of the latter.

The first 72 hrs I caught more Flies swiping the sticky pad through the air than the light caught, but I do notice a reduction on flies-maybe they went elsewhere, because I'm not sure how effective this actually is. Adhesive is good and doesn't smell. Easy to install.
