Product came my my address in a timely manner, it was completely assembled and great shape. Impressed by weight. Not heavy at all. Even with it's light weight the tac welds all look good. I liked that once triggered a locking bar slides over door making it impossible to even push open at all. I haven't seen it in action as of yet but will update review if unsatisfied.

The cage is small but doesn’t deter how well it works. Caught several squirrels in just a few days using crunchy peanut butter. The fence walls are small enough the squirrels can’t get their hands through to grab the bait. They do tear up the cage try to get out. Haven’t used the guarantee to replace the cage if this happens.

Purchased this product for price, features, and recommendations, imagining a larger size in my minds eye. After receiving it I wasn't very confident it would fit the squirrel I put odds on being the creature making the scuffling noise in my garage attic. But it is decently constructed and definitely suitable for housing smaller rodents, so I decided it was worth a try.It was easy to set with no mess using half a handful of unsalted roasted-in-the-shell peanuts as bait, placed behind and on the trip platform. The trap's design gave me no concern about hurting anything but the feelings of a trapped quarry. I placed it in the area of activity above the rafters. Within 4 hours I had caged my (first) adversary--a 6"+tail roof rat that looked comfortable enough he might gladly have stayed there with just a bit of regular food and water. Key word is first.Over the next 10 days I trapped another 7 little fatties, girls and boys, and have finally seen fit to order a 2nd trap from the same seller. The first shows no sign of wear, tear, or escape attempts and, with just a quick washing down after each occupant had been relocated, was ready to reset in short order. Turned out this was exactly the right size for my need, and I do not see any reason my first trap will not continue to act as a capable rat portal from my garage to a heavily brambled riverside for as long as it is needed. I do hope between the 2 traps that will not be TOO far into the future. For now, the scuffling continues...

Fue realmente sorprendente ver cómo en 3 horas ya había capturado al roedor. Solo seguí la recomendación de otro comprador de amarrar cacahuates al fondo de la jaula, y si, en tres horas cumplió su función

Good human trap for it's price. Place a heavy object on cage ( in a way that does not stop it operating) as our first Asian house mouse managed to get out after the trap being triggered. The dog may have had some role in that but I am uncertain.

My first ever review of a product on amazon but I’m still shocked how well this worked. We put it and 20min later the mouse was caught!!!

This trap is VERY easy to use and it's all metal mesh so it holds up well. I've even stored it outside for a while with no rust or wear. This trap is simple. You put the bait near the back. You then point the trigger arm forwards and lift the locking bar while opening the door. Trust me, it's easier than it sounds. Once you do it once, you'll understand. If you need to work around the trap without it going off on you, you can actually lock the trigger mechanism so it will not easily trigger on you.The trigger mechanism is similar to the wooden mouse traps, so it flips really fast. The trap itself isn't meant to kill but there's a chance the door will slam on the rat's tail but it probably won't break the tail. This trap triggers super fast, If I had to guess, it's less than a second.Once it's triggered, there is actually a kind of handle that sticks up so 1) you can see that it's been triggered and 2) you can use it to carry your trap away. SUPER convenient!!!The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is because of the locking sliding piece. It relies 100% on gravity. Meaning 1) if the trap tips over then the lock is not as secure and 2) it falls at the speed of gravity. It's super fast for humans but not too fast for rodents! I've had traps trigger but the rodent quickly turned around and fled before the door was closed and locked. Also, the door closes before the lock is actually all the way down so I've had a rat burst through the door! it was crazy to watch (on camera). I have a cheap fix for this though. I got a large rubber band and hook it on one corner of the door and then looped it around the locking bar and then hook it around the other corner of the door. This forces the locking bar to follow the corner of the door better (quicker than gravity) and it also holds the locking bar down after it's shut (unless the rodent chews through the rubber band).Overall, I would highly recommend this trap. I've trapped rats, mice, and even a baby possum (it came in through the garage door and hid in the walls for a bit)!If you liked this review, click on the "Helpful" button so that I know I'm not wasting my time.

I Love the fact that the small animal can be trapped safely and relocated. The conventional rat and mice traps are absolutely barbaric - the poor little critters just wanna live!
