This product broke 5 seconds after entering the ground. The metal from which the mount is formed us very cheap, kind of pot-metal, or possibly cast iron but not quality steel. The hitch part broke before the shear pin.

Initially Vevor failed to get me the ripper anywhere near the timeline in which the order was supposed to arrive. In fact it hadn't even shipped several days after it was due to arrive. That said, vevor went above and beyond to rectify this situation and now that I have the product it has performed nicely. It significantly reduced the time needed in digging the trench for me and the hook shows no signs of bending despite being driven its full length into hard packed dirt. The price was competitive for what I got and customer service was exceptional. In the future I imagine I will be purchasing more vevor items.

Liked the product till the 1st time I used it, in WET soil, no rocks, down 6 inches it tore apart. Did not break the shear pin, it just separated at the welds. The welds are horrible, see the rust where the metal should be joined? Rust.Don't buy unless your attaching to your riding lawnmower...and at that a really old one with very little pull, maybe yard art.Update.. completely replaced, even tho it months after I bought it..

Don't bother unless you're trenching through freshly laid top soil. I got about 6-1/2 ft at only 6 inches deep before the steel square tubing just ripped apart. That part of the assembly appears to be cast. I welded & reinforced the area that ripped & tried again. Got about 4ft & it ripped apart in a different section of same piece of square tube steel.

It fits, but the through hole only accepts their pin which is smaller than a standard pin for a receiver. That means this will be flopping around in the hole and wallowing out your receiver. They also do not offer replacement shear pins as a product. I have written support and am still waiting to hear back. My inclination is that it works, but spending the money on the Titan equivalent is worth the extra cost.EDIT: To my inquiry about the mis-sized hitch pins and inability to order replacement shear pins,Mia Peng at support@vevor.com says, "Sorry our technician has no idea about your questions. Attachment is the manual of the item, you may kindly refer to it." For the record, the manual does not even include a reference to the securing pin for the hitch. Apparently their "technician" also does not understand the design intent of a shear pin, and why you might need more in the future... Don't do it, buy a titan instead, at least they have competent US support.

I have major water ponding issues with my lawn I learned of “tiling” it’s supposed to drain the water out of your fields. A lot cheaper then installing drainage pipe with stone. I bought the VEVOR Hitch Mounted Ripper, 18" Shank & loved it! I put it on my Massey Furgasen tractor on my 3 point hitch & away I went! It did not bend or break! I went slowly because I did not want to really dig up my lawn, but I worked great, I couldn’t believe how effective it was. I went down almost the whole depth. You have to go slow, I hit a rock & it didn’t even bend! I had no issues! Was easy to hook up too! Nice job! ~Lisa Q
