I have a cheap TaoTao Rhino 250 which I put an easy hitch on. Because the mount does not pivot back, I had to jack up the back of the Rhino and slide the trencher into the easy hitch. I let the jack down, fired up the Rhino and drove a line directly to where I needed. When I looked back, there was this very nice line about 6" deep into the ground. I took my square shovel and was able to pop out sections of dirt down through the 6" trench. When done I had a nice deep trench to drop my cables into, use the shovel to drop the dirt back into the trench and step on it to push the dirt down, burring the cables. Worked like a champ. You can turn and make curved trenches, but if you try and make a very tight turn, you'll damage the trencher. It's not made for that. It's made to make straight or very slight turn trenches. I'm pleased with the purchase.

This hitch mounted sub-soiler worked good for what I needed. So far it has minimal use and it worked as anticipated. I was able to borrow a tractor and 3 point hitch mount and was able to get to max depth and didn't stall the tractor. The sub-soiler did glide over some of the larger and deeper rocks. No roots in this area of small garden and I was able to get deeper than I could with a rear tine walk behind tiller. Consider getting another shear pin and keep it handy. It seems like a good alternative to the $1200 one piece units.

The implement is made out of heavy duty materials and works as expected. But, the receiver pin hole is drilled too close to the end. This is a design flaw that causes all of the pressure and torque of the blade to be exerted right on the very entrance lip of the receiver. In my case this caused the receiver sleeve to tear under heavy use. I welded on a new sleeve and then drilled a new hole further down the shaft allowing the shaft/bar to insert all the way through the receiver sleeve. This distributed the torque out over a larger area and now it works perfectly. If you buy this, do yourself a favor and drill a hole in the 2 inch bar much further down the bar if you plan on using it in heavy or clay soils.

Bought this to attach to a 3 pt hitch to aasist in digging a ditch for a gas line. Worked very well. It's extremely well built and stout. Glad to have add this to my tractor implement inventory.

this item is built tough and worked as designed. A second fluke that would remove the loosened dirt would be handy.
