Our cat loved the taste of the stuff. It was nearly impossible to get her to take a pill, but wrapping it with this, made it easy. It was very chewy so it took her a little time to get it down, but it masked the pill perfectly.

Amazing!! I was having to crush up pills for my cat, which wasn't ideal and I was worried she was missing some of the pill crumbs. This was after trying to force the pill down her throat, which was not fun for either of us. With this paste, she gobbles up the entire pill without any issues and she seems to really enjoy the taste! Gives me peace of mind and is a much better experience for her as well. 100% worth trying for any cat!!

This has been the best product I’ve tried for concealing my cat’s thyroid pill. It takes a small amount to cover the pill & she eats it right up. She loves the taste. So much better than the pill pockets; she always got the pill out & eventually refused the treat completely. This little tub should last a long time because it only takes a small amount. I would say it’s a great value for the amount you get. Highly recommend!!

I could not be happier with this pill wrap. I originally didn't try it since my girl doesn't like pill pockets but it's definitely worth trying. The strong bacon scent really helps. This jar will last a good while as well with the amount I tend to use covering her pills daily.--more info and a tip for dosing cats that dislike soft textures:My cat has anxiety, FHS, and other issues. One of the medications she takes is fluoxetine which is not at all palatable to her. We've tried so many different ways to get her to take it, but either she'd just entirely avoid it if mixed in something or she'd get even more stressed out by it being pushed on her using a pill shooter or gelatin capsule. This is the first thing we've tried that actually completely worked without any stress for her or wasted meds. She seems to like the taste of it and is drawn in by the bacon scent. She doesn't like the texture much since it's chewy and she's a crunchy treat girl.At first we stuck it to the back of one of her favorite crunchy treats and while that did work out somewhat, she would pick it up and drop it a few times before eating it because the soft texture threw her off. To avoid that, I started splitting the crunchy treat as evenly as possible, putting the pill on the inside, and pressing the other piece of treat back on. It works because the wrap is kind of sticky. It kind of looks like an ice cream sandwich at that point. Then I use broken crunchy treat bits to fill in the edges and sides as much as possible to cover that sticky, soft texture for her. It ends up looking like an irregular, slightly thicker and uneven treat at the end. She actually tends to choose that one first because the bacon scent entices her and she now happily takes her much needed medication without any additional stress. We've given other pills to her using this method and she's eaten all of them without any problems.

I have a Maine Coon who is super-intelligent and stopped eating food that I was previously able to crush his pills and hide the medication in. I've been using them for about a month with varying degrees of success. My cat is now on life-long medication and it's been INSANELY frustrating to find something to put his medication in.I started with pill pockets and they worked extremely well-at first. I also had a larger pill that was difficult to get in the pill pocket. As time went on, he stopped eating them so I had to find another alternative. I was a bit hesitant about a bacon wrap as it's not a typically associated flavor with cats. The first time I gave it to him he ate it. The next time he didn't so I was back to square one, yet again. I realized the problem was his super-heightened sense of smell that sensed medication regardless of the method. The solution became clear- empty pill capsules!I would recommend size 0 as they fit large pills. I put the pills into the empty pill capsule, closed it, washed my hands (this is important so you don't contaminate the bacon wrap), then wrapped it into the bacon wrap (assembled similar to a pill pocket, the hand holding the wrap doesn't touch the hand adding the medication). Now I have them in rotation with other methods so he never gets used to one thing. Below are my pros and cons:Pros:-Works well with larger pills-Easily digested by cats due to stickiness of wrap-Can be stored in pill reminder without drying outCons:-Super-stickiness makes it difficult to assemble (I roll mine out like dough-shaped squares)-You may have to purchase empty pill capsules like I did to completely mask the smell due to sensitive nose-Difficult to get out of container (I had to dig in with my nails a few times)Despite all that, I would still recommend this method combined with empty pill capsules. If your pet is on long-term medications, try incorporating other strategies so they don't get tired of one method. I learned that the hard way.
