Had some upper respiratory and GI issues with a litter of foster pups. One wound up at the emergency vet as a result. He was prescribed probiotics for his gut but the vet there recommended his littermates also be treated and suggested this brand as she thought it was the closest to the prescription product. Sometimes pups need meds that can disrupt the gut biome. Probiotics can help mitigate/minimize this. I split one capsule per two pups. Just open and sprinkle on moistened kibble and they gobble it down. No aversive taste.

My cat has IBD and recently had problems with GI issues. I used to give her Purina probiotics a while back but didn't like the ingredients so I quit and got her on a high quality diet. Recently, her GI tract kicked up again. A holistic vet recommended this brand as one of two to consider. I chose this in part because of finances but not without concern over whether my cat would reject it.I wasn't disappointed. She snarfed it down and has no issue with it at all. The longer I've given this probiotic to her, the healthier her GI has become. Vomiting incidents have ceased except for a hairball here & there now b/c she's shedding her winter coat and her fur is incredibly silky and soft. In beautiful condition. I will continue to get this probiotic.

Two vets were extremely concerned that my cat wouldn't survive. The first diagnosed him with pancreatitis and recommended a probiotic. Before I could even buy it, he got sicker and a second vet diagnosed him as having a megacolon. I purchased Herbsmith Microflora Plus in a now-closed nearby pet store. I bought the last box; it was the only brand and type available. Thankfully it stated that it was suited for cats (1/2 a capsule) as well as dogs.Prior to this he had vomited at least once a day for years, and then developed other GI problems as well. With some other modifications, he's a dramatically happier guy now. Adding this to his food (changed from dry food to wet) helped save his life. While I can't say for certain the role of any of the individual items that quickly turned his life around, I believe this has been an integral part.I'm happier too: He's so much friendlier and no more cat barf everywhere!OF NOTE: When I needed more I sought a comparable item, preferably less pricey. After a LENGTHY search ***this was the only probiotic option that I could find that listed amylase, lipase and protease*** as ingredients. From personal experience, I know those are the relevant enzymes for pancreatitis. Given that a capsule goes twice as far for a cat as the number of capsules in the box, this ultimately also compares favorably from a cost standpoint. Opening the capsules, sprinkling out half, then saving the remainder is a very quick and negligible amount of effort unless someone might struggle with the motor skills involved.FYI: Aroma is cinnamon-like. My cat had no problem with the taste. He eats the capsules if they've dissolved in into his food, but not if they are dry on the surface of his food.

My little 14.5 year old can't have pill pockets, and it is quite cumbersome for my old hands to open a capsule, sprinkle some on, and put capsule back together to save and repeat for 2 days to give her the recommended 1/2 capsule per day. I wish they made this as a loose powder!!! That alone has me looking for another option but I kind of hate to stop a good thing going. Almost a year ago my little GG became quite ill with vomiting, diarrhea, disinterest in food and people and extreme tiredness that occurred with a vitamin D snafu in the food we'd used her whole life. Her blood labs were askew so she went on a bland diet. She still wasn't well and had recurring painful bouts of tummy distress that required fasting and Trazadone to help her through. I've enjoyed the benefits of using a probiotic daily for several years so I looked for more help and found this to use as her probiotic. She has not had any type of distress since getting this regimen started. In fact her recent lab tests showed solid improvement which amazed her vet. The regimen is: sprinkle this on her home made food, a little bit with each meal to give her the recommended 1/2 capsule per day; one daily Moringa Superfood vitamin snack; Galliprant for arthritic pain. Since those labs I added the Restora-pet for additional help with her lack of mobility and voila she is back to a youthful normal. I will retest the blood in 2 months and report back the findings. My American Bully is very sensitive with what he eats. He has yeast flare ups that make him have chronic ear infections in one ear and makes between his toes red, puffy, and irritated. I've gone to the vet and they wanted to keep him on antibiotics and give him injections that would help his symptoms but not actually cure him and that would also affect his immune system. I chose to refuse it as It's not super bad as I manage it with zymox for his ear, low glycemix index high quality food with little starch (and sugar), and natural supplements like apple cider vinegar and fish oil. However, I wanted him to be %100 so I looked into natural pro and pre biotics since yeast is controlled by the food and digestion of it. I looked through many, many brands and formulas and settled on this one as it has pro, pre, enzymes, and herbs all in one with a fantastic list of ingredients and amounts plus the price is amazing for the quality. He has been on it for a week and so far less irritation on his feet and in his ear, his coat is looking a bit healthier, and overall I am seeing a difference. I'm very happy with this product and I think it is exactly what he needed to help aid in his digestion. I give one to him in the morning and one in the evening with his food, I mix a little bit of either canned food or raw egg w/ shell in his kibble to help 'mask' it and he eats it right up. Great product, highly recommended. :)
