18” oscillating fan works great in my 25’ x 20’ shop. Usually in August I don’t do much woodworking because of the heat. This fan has made big difference. I have it mounted about 8’ up on the wall and the oscillation covers most any area I’m working to cool things off. Usually the fan set in the lowest speed is enough and noise levels just become a background hum I don’t even notice. Seems well built, heavy motor, easy to install. I’ve used it for a month now, should have bought one years ago.

Used to move and circulate air at our BBQ. We installed two, one on each side of our shelter, to achieve this. Nice looking, low noise easy to operate. I like the separate switch for oscillation feature. I made a custom mount to install in my location. Not designed for drywall mounting so not sure why they put the wall anchors in box

The fan itself works great, and it would be a good addition to any garage. Marked down a star as the anchors provided are not strong enough to support the fan. The grey one on the left is what they provided, which failed. I upgrade to the white anchors on the right which each holds up to 85 lbs (340 lbs total). With the fan sticking out from the wall, it is putting more leverage in naturally pulling away from the wall, requiring a stronger anchor if a stud isn't available where you want to hang it.

I purchase this fan to clear the kitchen air when cooking, the exhaust fan above the stove works fine but the smell of cooking is still there. I installed this fan just below the ceiling and it clears the air in my kitchen and adjacent rooms. The fan can be aimed straight forward or select the oscillation switch. Make sure to clear the electric cord during installation, the cord could get in the way when the fan is moving about.

I have installed this fan on the wall of my shop with 10' ceilings. Here are my observations...The fan seems to be well built. I see no quality control issues and am happy with the build quality. It operates as it should and has no unexpected noises or issues. The fan controler cable is barely long enough for 10' ceilings. In truth, it's probably not long enough but it's close. The speed options are 0-1-2-3 and a switch for oscillating on/off.The fan moves plenty of air. Perfect for my 900 sqft shop. It does get a bit loud on the 2 and 3 setting.I initially mounted this in a corner only to realize that essentially makes oscillation worthless. It would be nice if the oscillation could be restricted, but that is not in any way a strike against this fan, just a thaught.I think if you buy this fan you will be happy with your purchase.

Definitely not commercial level but best in class bang for the buck residential applications. 2pc pull chain max length is 22". BOTTOM LINE: unit weighs half as much as some other brands, lower cost = better value and most importantly has output +1,000 cfm greater than most 20" comparable versions. I know because I returned an unused 20" box store fan that I paid +$50 more that had exactly -1,000 cfm less output. If you want to mount this on wall with full 360 coverage tilt + rotation...buy a 10" x 16" hd shelving bracket for $8 (holds 600 lbs). Use 10mm or 3/8 bolt + stop nut. Factory hole is 5/16" if you dont care for the extra holding power. I used 1" dia rubber bushings inside a pvc coupler to improve rotation interface and avoid metal to metal vibration between wall shelving arm and fan bracket. A support board between your drywall and wall bracket may help dampen wall vibration and decrease chances of puncturing your plaster or drywall if overtightened. Super solid base that will not vibrate loose using lags or long cabinet screws. I also invested another $6 and purchased 10ft of bulk pull chain if you plan on mounting it high overhead 8ft ceilings or greater you'll need the added chain extension. NUTSHELL: For the money and inexpensive DIY shelf bracket add-on, this fan beats all comers. FWIW: This fan is not loud by any stretch for a 20" fan this size. If so, I would reconsider your mounting method and eliminate any/all vibrations as possible. All these types of fans need sufficient wall standoff to suck air in through the backside. I can tell you this fan purrs quietly at 16in away from wall. Good luck with yours and GO WITH THE FLO!
