I feel that price informs value and try to include the price I paid in all my reviews. I recommend everyone do the same. In this case, I paid $28.79 on 12/14/23.I was more than a bit upset when the lithium battery on my godox flash stopped charging. So I went on a battery hunt and was dumbfounded by how expensive the replacements are for is a rather tiny example of Lithium batteries. I guess that's why you create your own form factor. Rather than pay half the price of the flash for a first-party battery that had already failed me, I looked to alternatives. I still think that nearly $30 for a 22w/hr battery is insane, but less so than Godox branded. It has worked exactly as the OEM so far.Unfortunately, at the time of this review, the regular price on these is ridiculous as well, almost as much as OEM. At that point, why would you roll the dice on an off-brand.So, I would definitely recommend at $28 or lower, but not at "regular" price. If not on sale, spend a couple of bucks more and just the Godox.

I ordered this battery as a spare for my Godox V1C flash. The battery appears to be well made, and by the label claims to have a higher capacity (3 vs 2.6 Ah).Out of the box, the first thing I did was to fully charge it. It arrived partially charged and took about 45 minutes on my Godox charger to complete. I had no problems charging it on the Godox charger.I then tried it in my Godox V1C flash. Mechanical compatibility was excellent. The fit and release mechanisms worked as well as with the Godox OEM battery. The flash powered up as expected, and the battery capacity indicator on the flash showed a complete charge. I operated the flash a few times and so far everything works as well as it should.I noted that this battery claims extended capacity. I don't know that it does for sure, and it's hard to compare battery duration with a flash as there are so many variables when in use. I expect this battery to have at least the capacity of the OEM. If I encounter any issues with battery capacity I will update this review. For now, with a new product, I am not anticipating any problems. As far as value, this battery costs nearly as much as the Godox OEM one. If this is truly a higher capacity battery, I'd consider it a slightly better value. If not, I'd probably prefer buying the OEM one for the minimal cost savings.Recommend, but shop the OEM one as well and decide for yourself.

...it's always "Caveat Emptor." The Eeyrnduy VB26A is a third party battery for the Godox line of photographic speedlights, most notably their V1 on-camera flash and AD100Pro small strobe. VB26A is the Godox model number, the "A" distinguishing the higher capacity 3000mAh model from the 2600mAh VB26 that was originally supplied with these units. Of course, Eeyrnduy (??) took the liberty of using the same number (FYI, the AD100Pro is supplied with its own unit, the VB100A and - supposedly - the two are interchangeable, but that has been the subject of debate). Also note that a well-known photographic retailer sells Godox products re-branded as "Flashpoint," so technically Flashpoint is not "third party." If you compare Godox to Flashpoint, you're comparing apples to apples. Once again, this is a review that is relatively useless at this time, seeing as how the main criteria for a rechargeable cell is its performance and endurance over time. Since there's been little time elapsed, I haven't observed much other than the fact that the battery was close to fully charged when I received it, so it wasn't long after I placed it in the Godox charger that the status light flipped red to green. It fit properly in the V1's battery tunnel and it powered up the flash - chalk one up for Eeyrnduy! As for cost, the list price here on Amazon is $50, which is a no-deal since as it's the same price they charge for the OEM battery. However, the 20% checkout coupon drops it to $40, which makes it worth a shot. Paying 80% is kinda like giving points to the underdog: if it provides anything more than 80% of the OEM's performance, it's a winner. I'll use it in one flash and the original Godox battery (which is also new) in the other and try to monitor number of flashes and recycle time for each. It won't be an especially scientific comparison, but that probably won't be necessary: in a contest like this, you're mostly either going to be pleasantly surprised or have your pessimisms confirmed. We'll handle the rating like grading back when you were in school: everyone in the class starts with a 100 - after that it's all deductions. The Eeyrnduy VB26A gets 5 stars - for now.
