The V1 pro battery has a slightly different shade of black but fits perfectly in the older V1 and AD100 flashes. The one advantage I absolutely love is that USB C port. Being able to charge the battery in multiple ways using the charging dock or USB port is a lifesaver when you're on the job. As far as number of flashes go I haven't noticed that's like significant difference between the V1 pro battery and the stock batteries that came with my other flashes but they all last so long we can easily make it through some longer events.

Godox’s new VB30 Battery Pack appears to be a more significant upgrade than the seller lets on, at least for my V860III Flash. The obvious upgrade, of course, is the addition of a USB-C charging port. This allows the battery pack the versatility to be charged by any number of means, anywhere, e.g., via a computer, a car charger, your phone charger, an accessory charging block, a power bank, etc.More significantly though, in my opinion, is that the USB-C power-in port on the VB30 will both charge it, and allow the V860III Speedlight to be powered simultaneously. More than that, the attached power bank then acts as an accessory power pack, powering the flash unit in the same way that a dummy battery can be used to connect accessory power to a camera. Except in this case, starting with the VB30 battery and a power bank both fully charged, I assume, and to be clear I haven’t run this setup to the depletion of either battery, that the number of flashes available would be predicated on the total mAh of the two. So, for example, if you start with a 20000mAh power bank, combined with the 2980 mAh of the VB30, your total available power should be 22980mAh. That’s a lot of flashes. Bear in mind the charging source for the VB30 should be 5V - 2A.Basically, with such a setup, you can connect the flash, via the VB30 battery, to a power bank residing in your pocket and shoot all day without the need to ever change or charge the battery. And no need to buy an expensive and heavy, dedicated flash power pack. Pretty cool. I assume, but do not know, that this capability would apply to all of Godox flash units that accept the VB30 Battery Pack.The VB30 Battery is an awesome upgrade. Furthermore, it’s an OEM part; always a good idea when it comes to electronic equipment. I believe it’s supplied as standard equipment on Godox’s recently released V1 Pro Flash.I own a number of Godox Flash units and other equipment and accessories; I have complete faith in the company.
