Satin. Very happy with this product. I used it on my kitchen butcher block. The only thing is you have to be careful it will run even though it’s thick then other polyurethanes. I sanded between coats. I put it on pretty thick and my third coat is very smooth.

Works great nice finish hardens up relatively quickly allowing you to wet sand within a few days instead of waiting weeks for some other brands great finish when polished out

This may just be a personal preference, but I like the fact that this is thinner than some other polyurethane brands. I thin my poly to 50/50 with minerals spirits for the first several coats. Sometimes even thinner (to wipe on). This is great coverage by itself, not saying its that thin, but it's easy to apply without thinning. I just finished my tabletop to a satin, then waxed it. I do the first several coats with gloss to get that nice clear view of the grain. Then finish off with satin. It took one half pint of the Varethane gloss, and a lot left over from the satin can. Worth it though. Otherwise your satin finish can look milky. I almost always use Varethane.

This product was easy to apply with a brush and solidified without brush strokes showing. I'm more than satisfied with it.

I was worried when I first used this because when it first goes on it is fine, however, not long after it gets thick. I did stir gently at first to avoid bubbles. The key here is to add a small amount mineral spirits to it (say a couple ounces or 20% worth compared to the poly) and VOILA, it spreads successfully! I actually went back and saw there was a comment from someone back in 2020 about adding mineral spirits. I could literally hug that person, right now!! You've saved this novice so much time and aggravation!

Excellent quality . Easy to use . I used it after 3 months if delivery. The consistency is smooth , easy to apply , dries fast and can be smoothened with brush strokes in 5-8 mins.Smooth shining finish . I used it on finished and unfinished wood with fantastic results.

I was expecting a real clear finish to highlight the whiteness of rubberwood. But apparently, it has a golden glow, not what I hoped for. When cured, it's real hard. It's thick in liquid form, won't melt enough if you apply thick coats, but I was scared to mix in any thinner. Very forgiving with repeated brush strokes within 8 minutes. Overall a good buy if you are not using it on anything white. Any shades of brown will be just fine as the color is really mild
