Double Ended Screws are self-tapping wood threads at one end, which can be directly locked into the soft material (wood). The other end is a mechanical thread, which can be locked with the nut. Note:

Good product with very quick delivery

The wood threads are deep and sharp and hold very well in hardwood and softwood. The threads on the M8 bolt end are a bit small. They thread into an M8 nut but are a bit sloppy. There is more play than I would like. It's like the outer diameter of the threaded section is slightly undersized for M8

Worked great. Wish I had paid a little extra for the ones with a hex at the top to screw it in but I just used a 3/8 drill bit and the vice grips made quick work of these.

They are robust, thread pitch is correct, but are under 10mm. Very loose fit. use a thread filler. (Such as MR GRIP) worked for me.

I used these to put together a West Elm bed that was missing some hardware. These metric threads matched the threads on the West Elm bed.Although I thought that it could use a hex socket, phillips head, or at least a slotted head to be able to drive these into the wood piece. I’m not sure how to fasten these securely to the wood component without using pliers or vice grips that ruin the machine threads.Overall worked like a charm and totally saved the day.
