Threaded Nut

Furniture Screw-in Nut

  • Inner hex head and the body trapezoidal design, the structure is more stable.
  • Nut insert has internal and external threads. The internal thread is mainly for self-locking wood. Generally, it is a standard mechanical thread, which is convenient for connecting with other standard threaded fasteners.

Note

  • The head with flange has a positioning function and is installed on the surface of the connecting piece; without flange is no positioning function and is installed inside the connecting piece.
  • We have 4 types of nuts shown in the picture, please check the details and purchase according to your needs.

Installation Steps

  • Measure the thickness of the board, the board is longer than the nut by more than 3mm.
  • Example: The M6 nut is used with an M8 drill bit, and the drilling depth is the length of the nut.
  • Use an M6 hexagon wrench to screw the nut clockwise into the board.
  • Screw the nut until it is level with the wooden board.

I put four of these (M8 size) into a chair to shift the position a bit. Half of them cracked in the last 1/8" of tightening or so. Seems like if you're going into hardwood you should pick the bigger hole size from the range given. Otherwise they seem just like the factory ones.

It seem like they're well made and didn't have any issues. I really wish they would have came with an allen key so I wouldn't have to go buy one. Other than that no complaints.I was wondering if the bolts you used to put in them would pass all the way through or did they stop once they bottomed out at the end of the insert. Just in case anybody else is wondering this no they will keep screwing all the way through they don't stop. I used these to repair an office chair that I had to buy a new Tilt mechanism for. I couldn't find a tilt mechanism with the same bolt pattern so I had to drill new holes and put these inserts in them.

Did exactly what I wanted it to do. Can’t buy these at any hardware stores.

These inserts get the job done. They are a little softer than I expected so be careful not to bury them or the phalanges will bend upwards - my son is now riding a 1980s snowboard with modern bindings on them and so far no issues with anything pulling out.
