Had an injector hold down bolt break on my 6.7 Powerstroke. Bolt did not come out using an extractor. Had to drill and originally used a helicoil. Helicoil did not hold and injector was bobbing in and out of grommet. Took the valve cover off again, rethreaded and installed these threaded inserts. Worked perfectly. Was able to get the 22 lbs of torque plus 90 degrees. No issues after 30 days of use. I did use red thread locker only on the outside of the threaded insert once I verified the bolt was straight and would work. I will never use helicoils again.

All the reviews saying these are weak and broke while placing them need to run a tap through their threads to clean them and make sure the threads are ready to accept the insert. These threaded in perfect, just like the bolts that they replaced. Stuck the new smaller bolts in them and they're holding without issue. If the thread insert doesn't go and you're putting any type of force on it, STOP and clean out the threads. Only reason these would break while being inserted is user error.

Needed M6 bolts for my application, used these to fix the previous owners drilling out to the incorrect bolt size. They both went in smoothly.
