Replaced the flow sensor on my 100w CO2 laser because it had too much of flow resistance. This one you can blow in it and it hardly has any resistance but switches on fine. This one is longer and has a higher flow rate also.

I'm using this as a coolant interlock on my laser cutter. Works perfectly for that application. Tested it several times and it opened and closed the circuit as expected.

This works well as a flow switch for my K40 laser. When the water stops running the laser head does not fire, albeit the gantry does continue to run.I would only add that the wires are not very long so if you are purchasing this for a K40 and you want the switch to sit outside the laser machine (I felt it best as water and electricity don't mix) then you may want to have some additional wire to hand.

This is a nice flow switch, it's very light weight, material appears to be resilient and the magnetically operated switch is isolated from the liquid flow. This flow switch is intended to be used with clean water but may be impervious to other fluids and an inline filter might be needed to alleviate damage to the impeller inside the switch. I will be using this as treated coolant water flow interlock for my spindle motor. I sequenced this switch 50+ times and had 100% closures and opens. The switch is a small reed type switch and I would limit the current flow to 200. mA or less (ac/dc) and put an R/C arc suppressor (220 Ohm in series with 0.1 Mfd @ 600 v) across the switch terminals to improve the life of the contacts especially for inductive loads. Using this as a safety interlock for my K40 as I'm sure others are.One of the things I was worried about was using this as an input to a 54HC21, my door safety switches, temperature safety switches, etc. all need to be debounced. That does not appear to be the case here, the output is honestly pretty clean with no bouncing on the contact or disconnect.

Seems to restrict flow quite a bit.

Great product at a great price. Used this as a safety switch if the coolant stops flowing on my CO2 laser to prevent a damaged tube.
