Baomain flow switch was a replacement for another switch which had failed due to corrosion. This switch appears to be good quality and a great price. The only issue I had was that the paddles which attach to the switch to detect flow are too wide to fit into a standard 1" screwed fitting. I was able to use the paddle from the privious switch. Otherwise I would have had to trim down the ones which were supplied. The switch appears to work well. I was able to adjust the switch point so that it would disable my pool heater on low flow.

All good. Easy install. It would help to have the width of the paddles a bit smaller to make screwing in easier. I had to trim the corners

I installed this in a 1 1/4 in pipe. First problem is the threads do not match PCV. While it can be installed and not leak it shaves off a lot of plastic. I doubt it can be removed and reinstalled without leaking. Trimmed the paddle to the correct length for the pipe. Would not activate. I then adjusted the tension on the spring, never got it to work.

I am giving this product two stars in the event that it is my lack of skills that caused this product to not work for me.There are different sized paddles that attach to the switch arm, theoretically for the size of pipe that you are using. I was using 1 inch PVC pipe and the sizes included just didn't fit. I installed it on a threaded 'T'. The included paddles were either too small to trigger, or too long to fit, so it had to be trimmed. Also, the width didn't quite work either through the narrow neck of the T junction, so it had to be trimmed also. This seemed very odd to me, since the neck of the switch was threaded, so it had to go in that size. All of these setup difficulties can be easily overlooked if it worked as it was supposed to after getting all of that solved. When I finally was able to get the size of the paddle correct, the flow switch would turn on when water flowed, but it wouldn't turn off when the flow stopped. The first time was because I installed it facing downward, which I realized was a no-no. So, I replumbed everything again...and this time installed it in a horizontal direction...and got the same result. It would switch on, but not off. Maybe if I install it an upward facing direction it would turn off, but that is not feasible with my setup. Next time, sadly, I will buy the $185 unit. I really, really, really, really wanted this one to work.
