Terrible design. At least for a handheld drill. Maybe works better in a press drill or a mill but this wasn't clearly stated in the description.I'd say avoid this and find another solution.

My main complaint is that the center tip is basically the same length as the side cutters. What that means in function is that it is difficult to center and keep it from walking. I ended up using it in my drill press which helped a great deal but if you wanted to have any accuracy using this in a hand-held drill...fat chance.

I use this drill bit for wine stopper blanks holes. It takes a 9mm brad point bit which is VERY HARD to find. This bit fits the bill perfectly. It drills through wood, even hard woods, with precision and ease. Just ordered 5 more to have plenty in stock. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

The bit is not straight. It wobbles in the chuck creating an uneven hole.

This worked perfectly to drill the tailpiece stud holes for my Gotoh Tailpiece. Nice clean hole, no chipping of the lacquer around the hole. My only complaint is that the centre Brad point could be a little longer.

The alloys used to make these bits is brittle. After two holes in hardwood at the appropriate speed and force, the head of the bit snapped off. Would not recommend.

Have used this bit now for several week…so far so good! Will report back when it wears out for a durability comparison to some of my higher priced, name brand, bits

The center pilot is so short that the sides of the bit touch the wood causing the bit to walk all over the place. These can only be used in a drill press, with the project clamped down. If you are planning to put this in a hand held drill, forget about it.

I needed to drill a hole for some router bits so that it was easy to insert and extra the router bit without it catching. This did the job perfectly. My only warning/comment is that the shaft of this bit is not completely round—there is a flat region to fit some specific chuck. This did not affect my drill press's Jacob chuck, but if that's an issue, now you know beforehand.

Nice carbide tip. This bit can only be used in a drill press as it will walk all over as the brad points are on the same plane (the center one is not longer than the others so it does not center itself.Too bad as I was impressed with the bit quality at that price.

This is a very short bit; beware! However, it is precise; there is no wobble of the center brad point when turning in the drill press, unlike cheap brad point bits. I bought this because another supplier provided shipment of so-called 1/2" dowels that turned out to be 12 mm in diameter. The 12 mm dowels fit perfectly in the holes drilled by this bit.

This is an off-size drill bit and I needed this exact size. It was as described and good quality/worked fine but in the end I didn't use it because it wasn't long enough for what I needed.
