Tried to save a small part when a screw broke off. The taps performed well considering they had everything going against them. I am not disappointed; they stayed sharp and did not break.

idk if they are the best quality taps, but they look well finished, and i was using them to chase threads in hdpe/derlin type material, and they worked well in that application.

I managed to break two over the course of ~50 holes in aluminum plate. Even using a hand tap and tapping paste, they broke due to being pretty brittle. Tolerances were great though.

Used the taps on aluminum for the first time using a drill press, hand turned and wd40. I busted two of them before I quit. Trying to pick out the bit and turn it out resulted in the top of the bit shattering. Won't buy these again

Got some cheap taps before and would baby them through a couple holes before they snapped because they were so dull. These are great, haven't broken one yet and it's been through about a fifty holes, just starting to dull a little now.

Needed these to tap threads for custom insert tooling and they worked perfectly in 6 different tools made from 4140 without breaking or dulling.

Had a couple holes needing tapped in a project I was working in. Initially tried to form threads using the screws, but had one break upon removal, used these to thread the rest of the holes and rethread the hole after drilling out the piece of screw that had broken.

Had 12 holes to tap in cast iron. Figured I'd snap a few of them (they are quite small, and I have horrible luck with taps and easy-outs snapping on me)But I got it all done with a single tap. OK, it snapped on the very last, but didn't kill the project (no need to a tap extractor or a EDM sinker. Will work just peachy with one less bolt)I did lube well, often, and cleaned 1/2 way through and at the end.Take your time, listen to the feedback of the tap wrench, and error on the safe.(Do stay away from carbon taps, dies, and drill bits. HSS, cobalt are the ones you want)
