The product pictures show taps with threads outside the shaft diameter. The taps received are not of this style. The threads on the taps received are the same diameter of the shaft, making it impossible to tap a hole more than about an 1" deep.

They are strong and sharp. The full set saved my bacon the other day when I had to drill outnabroken bolt and got off center whill drilling, leaving some of thenoriginal stainless bolt behind. The taper tap cut the threads anyway (always use oil and when you meet resistance, back the tap off and try again or you'll break off the tap in your hole!) and the blind hole tap allowed me to run threads all the way in to th bottom of the work-piece. Nice little case keeps them from getting lost in with the other taps.

I was mistaken. The set did include a plug tap, but I didn't recognize it as the shank was the same diameter as the taper tap. I was looking for a tap where the shaft could clear the threaded portion. The photo showed one like that, but "plug" simply means less taper than a taper tap.
