The device quite literally broke before I could try it out.I put the batteries in, turn it over to test it out, pressed the button and the button fell into the device. I had no way of turning the unit on and off. I tried to dismantle the unit to fix the buttong, but with its shoddy build, I was neither able to get the button back to working condition or get the unit back together.

Didn't work, got a replacement, didn't work, returned for refund. Tested 6 inches away from a 25W 254 nm bulb and it kept reading zero for 2 mins. I know the bulb is emitting UVC because a simple dosimeter card turned bright pink (unexposed card shown next to it). Shame, I didn't want to have to spend 4x more but I have no choice. Maybe you'll have better luck than me.

ウシオ電機でエキシマランプcare222の測定で220~280の波長との記載があり222nmを実測する為購入しましたが反応がありませんでした。254nm専用との記載があればと思います。

seems to work , not sure about it's accuracy +/- 4%, would not read past 2503 um/cm2, apparently that's maxed out. tested on 4 different lamps./bulbs, 2 of the 4 lamps are on the expired list with more than 14000 hrs . contacted tech department and confirmed that. it doesn't read full scale as advertised.. Next lamp change will test output of brand new lamp to get a base line for future reference. Note : even a dead clock is right twice a day.

Not sure it is detecting any length of UVC light. I tried to test 3 different, brand new, UVC lights from two different manufacturers and the reading stays at 0.I am going to try 2 other brand new UVC lights to see if I get any reading.I will update this review after my next series of tests.UPDATE: I tested three additional UVC lights, from two different manufacturers, and the reading stays at 0. I changed the batteries from those that were included, same result, a 0 reading. In total, I have tried to test 6 different UVC lights, all within the wavelength range of this detector, and all tests showed a 0 reading. I ran my tests starting with the UVC light off, turned on detector, then turned light on, the detector showed 0 on the display. I then tried my tests with the UVC lights on, then turned on detector next to UVC light, still 0 on the detector display. I left the detector next to the UVC lights for several minutes, still 0 on the display. I am sending this back. This particular detector does not work

It works great, but I wish that it had a memory function. I had to use my cellphone video camera to monitor the meter while I was out of the room so that I could use it without damaging my skin or blinding me. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 was due to the difficulty in monitoring the meter. Hopefully nobody will just stand in front of their uvc light and watch the meter. Uvc is dangerous (for those that don't know).

It seems like quite a few devices in this batch are defective. As some other reviewers have also noted - my device had 0 reading indoors / outdoors / in the presence of 2 different UVC lamps (known to be functional). Reseating batteries had no difference. I would not trust these devices and will be asking for refund, not replacement.

I have used this to verify some UVC lights that I also purchased online. A Coospider UVC light that I bought registered 3000 on this meter and when blocked by glass the reading dropped to 0. So, the both of them verified each other. The one thing not good about this meter is that the detector is not in a wand so the only way for me to safely measure UVC light was to cut a cardboard box to encase the light and then put the turned on UVC light and box over the detector part of the meter while still allowing me to see the meter reading.
