This product does exactly what it says it does (I did not try ATSC 3.0 but ATSC 1.0 channels came in fine). It does require an Android app to receive the channels. But you can load this as an app on your streaming box and get your OTA channels digitally on your Google TV or similar in this fashion. I have no complaints!

Setup was easy and straight forward. Scanned for channels and received ATSC 1.0 channels fairly well. However, I purchased the USB TV Tuner Next-Gen ATSC 3.0 / ATSC 1.0 Tuner Stick for ATSC 3.0 viewing and found it was constantly buffering, audio was not synced and was generally unwatchable. I have this Tuner connected to a Channel Master EXTREMEtenna Long Range Multi-Directional Outdoor TV Antenna on a 50 foot tower less than 25 miles from the TV transmitter site.I did find if you unplug and plug the unit back in it would work again on ATSC 3.0 but not for very long. It does not appear to be able to switch channels without causing major problems quickly.I can only imagine testing the DVR function when it can't even display the channels properly.In my opinion, I regret purchasing the USB TV Tuner Next-Gen ATSC 3.0 / ATSC 1.0 Tuner Stick. I would not purchase this again nor recommend this item for purchase by anyone.You are also required to use a single APK from Google Play Store which didn't even have an English description. I assume it's mass produced in China.I wanted to like this item and maybe I received a defective unit. If customer service reads this and reaches out I will update my review.Updated Review on 01-06-2025Customer service did reach out and was very professional and understood the issues completely. Their top-notch team took corrective action quickly and satisfied my needs. Therefore, due to their great customer service I am updating my rating. I can't give it 5 stars due to the ATSC 3.0 functionality at the time. Receiving and viewing ATSC 1.0 signals does work and with some software upgrades with their application it could be top notch.
