PC didn't recognize the device. no Cd-rom anymore, its not the 90's. Didn't work at all.

It works like is advertised, But the antenna is kinda strange. It will not pick up all my local broadcast channels. I had to add a UHF antenna to get all my channels. I does record any presets you set up and puts it in MK4 format

I gave it 5 stars because it works great for my needs. It should be noted that I use it when I'm outside on my laptop. It would be nice if they had downloadable drivers from the web. I had to fire up an old PC on my network that had a CD-ROM drive, share it out, and then I was able to install the drivers and software. The software interface is easy to use. Now I can watch football when I'm outside on my laptop. Love it!

Shipping on this was painfully slow, when the item arrived, the MAIN PART of the item was not in the package, the dongle itself was missing, all that was there was a crappy little antenna, a useless USB cable, and a driver CD, and who the heck ships hardware with an optical disk in 2022? Like new computers come with optical drives any more... Why not a 5.25" floppy disk?Amazon ordered my replacement but it has been a week and hasn't even shipped yet. AVOID THIS THING LIKE DISEASE RIDDEN VERMIN!Amazon should pull this listing like yesterday. Even if the dongle arrived, there is no way to download the driver software so it is useless. Going to spend the money and get a Hauppage...

This product works great. It's gives an experience of watching on the TV itself. Great picture and sound quality. Very smooth video did not experience any lags.The license key was little tricky to read 8 appeared like B third time got it right.I also connected coaxial cable directly to the USB stick did not use the Infrared antenna. Direct wire connection is more efficient and stable.

The software is temperamental. Most of the time it works pretty well, other times one channel is fine and there's nothing but a blank screen on the others. Sometimes they're all blank, other times they're all working.The two screenshots attached were captured less than a minute apart. As you can see, the screen was initially blank. I got it to work by unplugging the stick and plugging it back in. Even that doesn't always do the trick. Sometimes I have to end the application with Task Manager and relaunch it. It's not due to a poor signal - the antenna is on our roof and we get 50 channels.Then there's the timed recording feature. When it works, it's excellent. Other times it will just record audio and no video, or video with intermittent sound. Still other times the recorded file is corrupt and unreadable.Despite the buggy software, once I get it to work it's excellent. For $30 I can live with it. I've had it over a year and I've learned to live with it. For now, anyway.

The item arrived quickly and the install was rather easy (if you ignore common English errors... "User Gudie"? (sic))But soon after it all went downhill. First channel search, with a large outdoor antenna, took good 50 minutes to get to about 80% -- and didn't go any further. Didn't find any channels either.So I switched to the supplied "toy" antenna (the tuner got quite hot by this point) and started the search again -- this time it didn't even get to 50% within an hour. Again, no channels found -- and the tuner by this time was very hot.Tried it also on another computer -- same results.By the way, I have no issues watching normal TV with my antenna -- many channels, outstanding quality with no noise.Returning this one since it is clearly defective.
