Your cart is empty.Authentic reproduction of the US Army water bottle cover. Lined with a light grey wool for insulation. In the summer, soldiers were instructed to keep the liner wet; evaporation helped cool the canteen. In the winter, if kept dry, the insulation helped keep the water from freezing. The cover is made from Khaki coloured Cotton Canvas with the US logo. This cover has the full length assembly seam at the back of the cover as was common with covers manufactured in 1940 through to 1942. Good construction. Quality built. Very similar to military issue. But over sized. Canteen & cup & stove fits inside cover loosely and does not show out the top. Will work to protect old military canteen in storage but not for daily use.

I have an original canteen and canteen cover and my original is starting to fall apart with age. This replica is very close to the original. It even has the wool inside liner. I now have a backup cover for when my original cover falls completely apart. So glad to find this.
