It's a good core design, but I was hoping the plastic would be a bit thicker. The wheels help a lot, but are too small for outdoor, good for sidewalk. The handle is great.

This is a nice water container, but expensive if you have to return it. We had to return because it wasn't the size we needed. Not only is it expensive to return, but a pain in the neck since we don't live near a UPS store. AND DON'T THROW OUT YOUR BOX! We got all the way to the UPS store and was told we had to buy a box since we had thrown out the one it came in. We thought it was cheaper to drive home and find a box and drive back to the UPS store (40 minutes away).

This thing is cool. I have several of the 2.5gal and 5gal water cans, but this one is definitely my biggest, that is portable at least. It is just as durable and well built as all the others. It's not quite as thick as a real USGI water can, but it's still plenty thick enough to take a beating and last a long time. Being on wheels really sets this thing to a whole other level. Because having 7.4gals in one container that is also easily moveable is pretty rare. This thing is a perfect solution for the long term car camper, base camp with ATV access, and It of course is great to have for emergency preparedness. Several of them if possible! It has all the same nice features as the smaller ones. Such as the large opening for easy filling and cleaning, as well as a nice silicone plug for the air hole in the large lid. It has the more robust screw style spigot, which I personally prefer over the more flimsy paddle style spigots. It also has the stretchable little extension hose that stores in a notch in the side of the can. Then of course it has the added feature of the wheels and foldable handle for easy transport. As far as weight, when it's empty it is surprisingly light at only 3.68lbs and very easy to carry, store, or stack. Which means that when filled it is going to weigh right around 65lbs. Hence the importance of the wheels! Emergency water storage is something that every household should have and if you were only going to get one then this is definitely the one to go with. I am very glad that I have the ones I already have and I plan to get at least one more of this specific size. I highly recommend that you get yourself at least one too.Note: Make sure you turn it up side down and shake it out when you first get it. Mine had a few pieces of plastic in it from drilling or cutting during the manufacturing process. No big deal though.

I normally took a 5 gallon container with me for my weekend camping trips, but decided to switch it out with the 7.4 gallon container, because: the wheels.I'm so tired having to lug my container over to my site, especially when it's not drive in. This container by Redcamp has wheels, so I don't have to break my back carrying my water to and from my campsite. 7.4 gallons will last me 4 days max, or a weekend if I camp with a buddy. I don't like taking chances with running out of water, so the more the better. The spigot twists so that I can control how strong I want my water flow, and the attachable hose makes filling my camp sink with water much easier.It does take up much more space than my 5 gallon did in the trunk of my car, but I will sacrifice some cargo space to not have to carry my water anymore. The quality is great, smells like plastic inside so follow the directions and let it sit out in open air with the lid off for 24-48 hours (I chose 48 hours). It's easy to rinse out, since the lid is wide. Like the color, and the wheels roll smoothly- but has a low clearance, so when the ground is covered with tons of branches, rocks, etc- I have to carry it over those areas. But it rolls alright over bumpy ground.I'm glad I got it. It's durable, makes camping easier with the wheels, and easy to use. Would recommend if you're tired of lugging around water too.

This is a great addition to my camping equipment. It is well designed and seems very sturdy, with the possible exception of the wheels. The 7.4 gallon (28 litre) size is about right since it is rather heavy when filled with water. The empty container weighs in a little under 5 pounds (a bit over 2 kilograms) and once you fill it with water, the total weight is around 60 pounds (108 kilograms). The handle and wheel system is a great idea, but is only suitable on hard and fairly level surfaces. The wheels are small so provide little clearence and did not work in gravel (see photos) and I had to drag it on the container itself over the rough gravel. I am sure that sandy, dusty, and even larger rocky ground will not work at all well with these narrow wheels. Plan on carrying the wieghts I mentioned in these cases. Also consider the lifting in and out of vehicles.All of that said, I do find it useful and believe it will last a long time. They include a little collapsable add on spout that mounts to the side. It is pretty cheap and I can see losing it pretty easily. That doesn't affect the use of it in any way as the valve and spout are more than adequate. Do rinse it out as directed before actual use. I had a few pieces of plastic shavings come out during that process. I highly recommend this water container, just be aware of the weight and wheel limitations.
