This dispenser is mostly made of metal with some plastic parts. It is a very sturdy tape dispenser. The Blade has a plastic protector over it that you have to press before tearing the tape off so you don'y accidentally cut yourself with the blade that cuts the tape. The cutter lade is very sharp so that is a nice safety feature.The dispenser has 2 metal tape containers for keeping the tape going through the gun. These can be a little annoying as the tape sometimes folds in between them and starts making creases in the tape. As long as you watch to make sure this doesn't happen the tape creasing can be avoided. overall Im happy with this item.Before I bought this one, I bought an "Excell" Tape dispenser (Same Type of Tape dispenser) and it is even better but costs twice as much. I wanted a second metal tape dispenser and At half the price (when you get 2 tape dispensers) this "Prosun" Tape dispenser works well and does the job.

This is NOT easy to use! No instructions. I'm far from an idiot and I can't figure it out. I've asked friends, Can you figure out how this works? No one. No YouTube video. It seems like it's well made, but the tape gets tangled and I end up throwing a lot of it away and using scissors.

Sometimes I hate tape, and I think the feeling is mutual. So, anything to relieve the tension is appreciated.I like my simpler, older PROSUN model. It has worked very well for years. But being the person I am, I thought maybe this newer model would be better. But it really turned out to be more complicated and like any other tape gun - not completely like the rest - no handle - but still in the same area.It works well enough, but I end up fighting with the tape more. So, I just keep newbie on the same peg as the old model. After all, they are related and maybe the older model can give newbie some pointers.

L'ho preso perché pensavo fosse più maneggevole. Ma spesso lo scotch mentre viene stesso esce dal binario e quindi rende molto difficile usarlo in maniera scorrevole. In più il rotolo si sfila dall'incastro.

This packing tape dispenser is a heck of a lot easier to use than the “gun” type dispenser. Easier to load and tear-off, and it also came with two extra blades which I wasn’t expecting. My only complaints are that the friction loading system is a smidge too small and doesn’t really fit well inside the cardboard tape roll, but that doesn’t really affect performance. Another issue is the brackets that are supposed to keep the tape from going back on the roll doesn’t really work well. The tape often slips out of the brackets. It’s not difficult to get it back in, but a pita nonetheless (although the gun type does that as well). **Looking at the pictures in the listing as I write this review, the one shown is not the same one that I was sent.** This dispenser is all metal, is solidly built, and seems like it will last a while. And with the spare blades, it should last even longer as long as the main body remains useable. I also like that it’s not as bulky as the gun type, and takes up less space.

Great stuff, once you get used to how it operates. It does exactly what I needed it to do and does it very well (light household use). The blade cuts cleanly and it comes with a spare (+ 2 screws) too. Solid build quality. Metal with enamel paint, not rattles or squeaks, etc. the blade guard and the roller are the only plastic parts. But they do seem reliable. Also very well priced compared to the disposable plastic junk sold by the bigger brands.Very happy with my purchase.

This cutting tool works well. I think it was a little clunky to operate but not difficult. Mine came damaged but still useable. The cutting edge is very sharp but it was awkward to use the safety feature. I prefer my traditional tape dispenser.
