-The 17cm short black power cord is a reverse polarity converter, not extension wire. It is used to reverse the original polarity of the power supply output port ( reverse the internal positive pole to negative , and the external negative pole to positive). Please confirm the polarity of your devices’ power port before use. If the positive and negative poles are reversed, it will cause short circuit and damage your device.
Instructions on how to choose a suitable adapter:
1. Check Voltage Please find the spec label of your device and check the working voltage. It should be among 3V~24V DC, not lower than 3V or higher than 24V DC. Otherwise, your device will not work or be damaged.
2. Check Current Check the max current your device will draw. It should be equal to or less than 3A, such as 1A, 1.5A, 2A, 2.5A, 3A. Otherwise, your device won’t work well and the PS will be damaged very soon.
3. Check Plugs Check the power input port of your device. The PS is equipped with 14 pcs frequently-used DC tips. Please confirm wether it fits for your device before buy. If you can 't confirm, please measure it with a ruler.
4. Check Original PS If you have a original power supply for reference, their output voltage, plug size, polarity should be the same . If our PS’s current is equal to or higher than original one’s, then our PS will work with your device.

I really like this handy power supply. Good variety of connectors, and the alligator clips are very nice to have. Very handy digital readout. I use this as a basic power supply when not at my bench, and for powering breadboard projects. Price is good, quality seems good also.

Works well but doesn't have a separate on/off switch so that you can leave it at the voltage needed. Have to turn voltage down to 0 to turn it off.

For the last 35 years I’ve been collecting and storing different voltage and amperage DC power supplies/inverters so that when one fails or I get a new device that needs one, I’m easily able to find what I need without having to buy one. I probably have two or three different boxes. Well, with this handy device power supply I can pretty much power anything I need due to it having variable current selection as well as nearly every tip/connection option I could ever imaging needing! I just used the first one I got to power anything slot car track I bought for my sons. And one of the best things about it (besides it costing half the price of the dedicated ones from the company) is that with the voltage being completely variable, I can adjust the speed of the track perfectly so that the cars aren’t flying off all the time! It’s great and I love the design that allows me to see the exact voltage it’s putting out. I also hooked it up to some LED string lights that we have and it’s nice that I can adjust the brightness of them as I thought the regular 12v power supply made them too bright for my liking. So I find these to be a great value for the money. I already have two and pretty soon I’ll be able to recycle some of the older power supplies I have laying around and just use these when the need arises. I wish that these had been available years ago as they make life so much easier.

The item works well. Disappointed in two directions. First this is a used product as the cable ties were loose in the box without being wrapped on the cords; and secondly the power cord is specified as being six (6) feet— alas it is 30”. So if that matters to you, as it does to me for this installation, beware. Otherwise a nice solid piece of kit.
