I bought this for my Rode Procaster. The brand name one is huge, it probably does a better job due to the size and quality but it gets in the way when on the computer. This is nice and compact and works fine for voice. It's made of metal which I was looking for. The padding on the inside that touches the Mic is nice quality foam making sure you don't scratch the Mic. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase. The quality seems worth the price.

This shock mount is perfect for the Electro-Voice mics RE20 to the RE320. It fits the base and supports them well. One of the few that actually do this without having to buy the over-priced original shock mount from EV. Quality is decent but not outstanding. For the price, it's good!

Just needed a basic shock mount. Something a bit better than the factory one that transfers all vibrations from the mic arm into the mic. This does what I need for a fraction of the cost of the official shock mount from EV. Thanks!

I ordered a couple of this mounts that I've been using mostly on the two newest versions of the Røde NT1: the 5th Gen and the Signature Series (both mics have the same dimensions). These shock mounts hold reliably, and their compact size and quick attachment make them fantastic alternatives to the bulkier, more obtrusive mounts that come with the Rødes. I still have use for the OEM mounts, but only in situations where I need the pop filters that come attached. Otherwise, it's these 3rd party mounts ftw.For these NT1's, I do have to make sure to set the shock mount's grip closer to the head of the mics than the bottom; the mics' tapered circumference means that the mount is more likely to slip if set too low. Otherwise, setting it higher makes the mics very secure. If you need to use the NT1 with a pop filter, I'd say that the included shock mount is the way to go. For a simpler setup, though, I'm happier with these alternatives!

I am running the Elgato wave low profile setup. It is a spectacular combination. The mic fits right in and stays on the arm. The knuckle is strong and the mic does not droop down. I did not even have to adjust extra pressure to the gas arm to hold the weight of the mic and the mic and the shock mount. I needed to have the room to be able to type and move around the desk without desk and vibration noise. I was going to go with the Electro Voice shock mount but it is over 100 and so large that it would impact the space when I turn the arm around while not in use.I highly recommend this shock mount because it fits easily and absorbs all the vibrations from the desk.

I'm sure this works for other microphones, but mine was a bit too big to fit in it.

Fits like a glove on my EV RE20, looks extra slick when you pair it with the black color way. Is a sturdy all metal build with padding on the mic clamp so it doesn't scratch it up, plus its not big and bulky and wont weigh down your mic like other shock mounts for the RE20 on the market. Would definitely buy this if you have the same or similar microphone!

I run an RE-20 on a rigid desk mounted El Gato boom arm, the factory hard mount transferred quite a bit of desk vibration into the mic. This shock mount attenuates it a good bit and it's a lot lower profile than the EV mount that is truly meant to be suspended in the air. I prefer having the mic mostly out of frame and below my face for business use.It is not a miracle cure but it helps and the price is right. Build is solid on it as well.

Holding my RE320 like a champ. Lives up to it’s purpose.Removed the squeeze hooks once I got the mic in place to eliminate rattles.

Well If you are reading this, you just purchased OR you are thinking of getting that forever mic called the Electro Voice RE20. That little voice in the back of your head is looking at that pricey shock mount. Part of you is saying, "Well I just spent over $500 for my forever mic, I might as well buy the nice branded RE20 Shock Mount too" Hey I did the same thing, I understand. I promptly sent my RE20 shock mount back after 3 days as it is WAY to bulky and got in the way. I disliked that big bulky thing and I should have listened to my other voice saying don't buy that as it was a waste of money. This Shock Mount works perfectly fine and supports that Forever Mic easy and it is light weight as well. Buy it, you won't regret it. Thank me later. Low price too and looks great!

You have a makeshift studio and need budget items that still perform for exactly what you needed it for? Me too, and that's why I bought it and its perfect. It holds the mic steady and has a screw on adapter incase you have a skinnier screw on stand. I didn't need that because I used a traditional/normal mic stand, But I have it if I need it. It also comes with extra bands. Don't listen to bad reviews. This thing works perfectly and costs a fraction of a "high end" shock mount. I used to have all high end gear and recently got back into recording music for hobby, so I didn't want to spend as much as I used to. This literally works no different than the type of gear I used to own. Back when I thought if it wasn't expensive it was trash. That's not always true, but in this scenario. It is. Buy it. I use an Audio Technica At2020 btw. Fits perfectly. I use it for vocal work and as an overhead mic. Don't think twice. Save money for gear that really makes a difference. Like a mic preamp. budget the stuff like this.
