Well packed, easy instruction, only a few minutes to set up, parts seem to be good. This is my first boom mic but I have dual monitors so similar set up. So far no issues with weight of mic and tension, it articulates well and the lights just out it over the top nice addition to my ham shack. Wife though I paid much more than I did.

My wife was getting a nicer mic and I was looking for a Christmas gift for her. This along with a separate isolating holder were chosen after a lot of reading about arms in my price range. It works great. Smooth and stays in place with her mic. May seem out of place compared to the price of her mic for those in the know, which is not me, but my is content with it's performance and style.

- Tall enough to reach over monitors- Great cable management system (no Velcro ties needed)- Very Sturdy- Looks very cleanI have not owned it long enough to have put it through much testing but at first glance and set-up, it works exactly how it is supposed to. Looks very clean and extension makes it able to reach over taller monitors or monitor stands. Looks very clean because of the slide out cable management system built into the design. So far it feels extremely sturdy and good quality.

I recently purchased the IXTECH boom arm in the Valiant model with the optional extension tube, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. This mic arm is an absolute game-changer for my recording setup and frees up my desk so I can work during Zoom calls.Previously, I used a SHURE tripod. This was also a great product, but was bulky—almost seven inches across the base—and I wanted something that would let me use my desk and talk at the same time.Let’s hit the essentials:The build quality of this boom is exceptional. The arm is large (almost too large), metal, and solidly built, making it feel incredibly durable. The added height with the extension tube easily reaches over my monitors, providing a clutter-free workspace.Mounting the IXTECH boom arm also was a breeze. The C-clamp securely attached to my desk without budging, and if I ever need a different mounting option or feel inclined to drill holes in my desk, the grommet attachment is there for me. The boom arm folds easily. What sets this mic arm apart is its stabilization system. I can freely move the arm around without worrying about readjusting the angle or position of my microphone, camera, or other devices. It's a real time-saver, especially during zooms or podcast recordings. And in my experience, the microphone stays rock-solid and doesn't shake or rattle. If one of the three joints needs adjusting, a simple twist and tightening of a twist lock (can be done manually) is all that is required.I also appreciate the universal compatibility with microphone shock mounts and accessories. The IXTECH boom arm fits both 5/8" and 3/8" threading, making it suitable for a variety of setups. As others here have noted, cable management is the weakest feature. It is comprised of two plastic parts that snap/slide in place carefully over a cable guide tunnel. You must use care to avoid breaking these plastic covers, but once they are in place, you don’t have to fiddle with them again.I highly recommend this product as a worthwhile investment.

I bought this arm because I didn't feel like selling a kidney to afford a premium mount. That's not to say this isn't a premium mount - it is, but it's cheaper than the rest. It's got the looks, it can move and pivot freely with no issues, and I like how it easily fits the Shure SM7B out of the box with no trouble. However, there are some caveats. I wanted to install this arm on one of the grommet holes on my desk, but the turning handle wouldn't tighten all the way without getting stuck 3/4 of the way up the threading. It just wouldn't turn. I had to take a physical pair of pliers and utilize all my upper body strength to get the handle to twist to full tightness. It BARELY made it enough to hold the stand securely in the grommet hole. The arm itself is also a tad wobbly when it's put onto the base mechanism, so you may feel some to and fro, but this really doesn't create any problems when your mic has been put into the desired position. It has the looks, it works great, but something was definitely wrong with my screw threading, and now the handle looks like the dog got a hold of it and went to town.

This works nearly perfect for me. I move a lot and being able to easily adjust my microphone is great. Only issue comes to the ball mount for the microphone. I have a bot of a heavy mic, blue yeti, and I have to crank it down pretty tight to keep my mic steady. I don't have to adjust that often, so only a minor nuisance.

I needed a boom arm for my Shure SM7B that was versatile not just in positioning the arm, but in vertical adjustment. Beforehand, I purchased a Gator Frameworks 3000 boom arm and didn't realize that this arm was limited to vertical positioning (sucks because it wasn't cheap!) So, I was in the pursuit of a new arm and lo and behold, this one hit it on the nail!PROS:- Extremely sturdy and didn't slide off my desk like the Gator boom- Super easy to install, even has an extension arm for further reach- Stable - hasn't moved an inch- Cost-effective against competitors - no need to waste more for limited features, this is enough!CONS:- The vertical positioning ball needs to be adjusted where the cutoff is holding the weight. If you just position the mic with the rolling ball open in the bottom, it will fall, but just takes some adjustment, nothing too hard (see photo)- The 3/8 adapter got stuck to my SM7B adapter so I suggest putting some lube or WD-40! It was a mission to take off, I had to ask my husband lol.Overall, 9.5/10 and great buy!

As someone that is increasingly more and more on zoom calls in addition to someone that takes a lot of voice notes, I have been using my Blue Yeti X more and more. The mic comes with a desk stand that typically sits in front of my keyboard. So for the sake of more room on the desk and cleaner desk space, I decided to get a boom arm.I noticed a lot of options. I was hoping to avoid the top-dollar options while still getting something useful.I ended up giving this arm a try because it was reasonably priced as well as it looked good to me.I have been using the arm now for about a month and so far so good. I was concerned that the Blue Yeti X might have been on the heavier side but as you can see from the images, it's working out well. You can also see that I have a shock mount as well as a pop filter attached to the arm. I also really like that I don't always have to have it in the same position. And the fact that it comes with a height Extention provides even more options. This has worked out really well for me and I would recommend it.
