The ballast was received out of original packaging in an Amazon bag. I feel like I purchased a used or retrieved/demo item represented as new. It did work as advertised after installation.

When I received the ballast, there is no original packing, no mounting accessories. it looks like a used one. I am disappointed. I will not buy it again.

If your LED bulb has installation instructions showing how to by-pass the ballast do not connect this ballast. It is a great product, easy install and reliable so far. But use it for bulbs bulbs listed on the product documentation C2642UNVxxx and follow the wiring diagram shown on the case or in the aforementioned product sheet. When the original ballast and fluorescent bulb failed in the kitchen range hood, I replaced the original ballast with this product and a CFQ26W/GX24q bulb. Perfect. This using comes with no wires and required 18AWG solid copper for the push-in connectors on the case. I cut the Red and Blue conductors off the old ballast as close as possible and pushed the solid copper conductors into the Triad. The existing 120VAC conductors were 18 AWG flex, so I used a soldering iron to "tin" the tips and push into the Triad using a small screw driver to release latch down to make insertion easier without bending the tinned wires. The case is plastic and requires grounding. I had to drill a hole in the interior of range hood and install a short length of wire and circular eye termination so I could connect the new ground wire to the the range hood with a self tapping screw. No other issues. Great product.

Onc of my recessed CAN lights started flickering occasionally. I swapped the bulb for a new one and it still flickered. Then one date it stopped lighting all together. Was pretty sure the electronic ballast had failed. I replaced the ballast with this unit, which was a perfect bolt in replacement and fixed the problem. My ceiling can light uses a 26-Watt, 4-Pin CFL bulb which is what this ballast is designed for. No need to go into the attic crawl space, the ballast can be replaced from inside the house by removing the bezel and unscrewing and removing the bulb housing. There are video's on how to do this online.

This part was a direct replacement for a flourescent fixture that would not light, even when we put in a new bulb. I took the fixture apart and the wires all looked good and this part is about the only other part, other than the bulb and socket. My two local hardware stores did not have this part, or anything similiar. Amazon had the EXACT part as I was looking for, at a bargin price. So happy I did not buy a whole new light fixture. This fixed it right up and we are back in the light. I should have checked Amazon first, I definately will next time. Thank you

I bought this to put in a ceiling light fixture that had a bad ballast. First, I de-rated the product because while the ballast supposedly works with a number of different lamps in both single and dual arrangements, the mounting holes did not match those I'm my lamp. Not a big issue, I simply had to drill a new hole and move a screw. The other reason I de-rated this item was because there is a noticeable lag between the time the switch is thrown and the light comes on. We are learning not to "try again" but guests flip the light on and off and on and off, assuming it is faulty. On the positive side, this ballast represents one of the highest energy efficiency's available for compatible CFL light bulbs. The "kit" provides short pieces of wire to aid in installation, which was especially helpful to me since the old ballast was longer and even when I clipped the wires on it right at the ballast, they were not long enough to reach the new ballast. You should insure you have some small gauge wire nuts on hand to splice the wires if needed. The kit also contains a "release tool" that I did not use, and an adapter plate, another thing I did not need. One of the biggest features is the fact that the ballast can be wired either from the back or from the ends, which makes it compatible with many installation configurations.
