Product Description

Loraffe Battery Operated Rodent Ultra Sonic Repellent

loraffe battery operated rodent repellent for car engines

Loraffe Under Hood animal repeller ultrasonic rat repellent mice deterrent electronic vehicle engine
Rodent Damage

Rodents and other animals might take shelter under the hood of your engine, especially during chilly winter and spring days since car engines are usually warm, dry and undisturbed, providing an ideal shelter for feeding, resting or breeding. Once in there, these creatures can cause considerable damage to the car. Engine wires are particularly vulnerable to rodent damage. If rodents chew away the insulation covering the wires, it can cause short circuits, resulting in expensive damage to engine.

Loraffe Battery Operated Rodent Car Repeller

Pest Ultra Sonic Repellent for Vehicles

Rats, mice, squirrels, martens, chipmunks and other destructive rodents often shelter under the hood of vehicles and damage wiring harnesses, cables and other expensive parts. Loraffe Under Hood Animal Repeller emits sonic waves and ultra sonic waves that cause their intense auditory stress and LED strobe lights that target their eyesight to create a hostile environment under the bonnet for animals or pests to live, and force them to move on and escape from your car.

  • Constantly variable ultra sonic pulses (inaudible)
  • 2 LED strobe lights
  • Easy to install
  • Uses 3 AA batteries (not included)
  • On/Off Button
  • Low power consumption
  • Low-power alarm
  • Ultra sonic speaker test mode (audible)

Instructions for Power Activation and Sound Mode Setup

install batteries

Battery Installation

1. Insert 3 AA batteries, ensuring correct alignment with the polarity symbols (+/-) in the battery compartment.

2. Use new, high-quality alkaline batteries for optimal performance. Avoid mixing old and new batteries.

power on

Activating the Rodent Repellent

1. Turn On: Toggle the red ON/OFF button to the ON position (marked by a line), triggering a 3-second flash of the red indicator light and the strobe lights, signaling the repellent is now active and operational

2. Turn Off: To deactivate, toggle the red ON/OFF button to the OFF position (marked by a circle).

ultra mode

Setting to Ultrasonic Mode

• In Ultrasonic Mode, the repellent emits ultrasonic waves between 25kHz and 55kHz (max. 100dB +/- 20%). These sound waves are inaudible to humans but highly effective at deterring rodents.

• The speaker's status is indicated by a flashing or solid green light during its operational cycle.

test mode

Setting to Test Mode

• Switch to Test Mode to hear the ultrasonic waves as audible sound, simulating what rodents experience.

• The green light (flashing or solid) confirms the speaker is functioning. Test Mode follows the same operational pattern as Ultra Mode, with the only difference being that the sounds are now audible to humans.

Light Indicators in the Operation Cycle

red and white lights

Red and White Lights Flash Simultaneously

Power Activation:

The repellent is activated when the red indicator light and white strobe lights flash together for 3 seconds.

green and white lights

Green and White Lights Alternate

DUO Repelling Mode:

In this mode, ultrasonic pulses and strobe lights alternate. The speaker emits ultrasonic pulses while the two white strobe lights flash. A flashing green light indicates the speaker is actively emitting ultrasonic pulses.

green light

Green Light Stays Solid On

ULTRA Repelling Mode:

The speaker continuously emits ultrasonic pulses, and the green indicator light remains solid.

red light

Red Light with Two Short Beeps

Low Battery Alarm:

When the battery is low, the repellent stops emitting ultrasonic pulses and strobe lights. A flashing red light and two short chirps every minute signal that the batteries need to be replaced.

If the battery is fully depleted, the low battery alarm will cease. Regularly check the device to ensure it is functioning properly.

Best used for

loraffe battery operated rodent repellent wireless best used for

Designed for use in vehicles but can be utilized in other places such as attics, crawl spaces, garages, kitchens, storage rooms, etc. This rodent electronic repellent works best in confined spaces. For the best results, the ultra sonic speaker and the strobe lights should be open to the rest of the room and should not be blocked.

loraffe battery operated under hood rodent repellent heat resistant

HEAT RESISTANT

The Under Hood Rodent Electronic Repellent is designed for use in the engine compartment, the car interior, the trunk or other indoor areas, featuring durable, fire-resistant materials capable of withstanding extreme under hood conditions.

It functions reliably within a temperature range of approximately -20°C (-4°F) to around 80°C (176°F). Operating it outside of this range can cause device damage.

Please ensure that the device is not exposed to excessive heat. Avoid placing it on or near the car engine, exhaust manifold, or any other high-temperature zones.

I was very skeptical of these kinds of products but I was desperate, as my last car was TOTALED by mice and chipmunks only a month ago. The whole ordeal was a nightmare and I needed a solution that worked.I tried peppermint oil bags first and still saw the chipmunks running around the property and around the cars cars as usual, hopping right up under the engine like the little pests they are. Very annoying because those scented bags are expensive and were clearly not working at all. I also put used cat litter underneath the car where I parked and guess what the little buggers did? They brought some if it INSIDE the engine area as nesting material - gross, and another failure. So I bought and very easily installed one of these devices in mine and my husband's cars and walked away not feeling super hopeful about it, but ready to give them an honest try.I wasn't really thinking about it for a week or two until it hit me - I had not seen a SINGLE chipmunk on my entire property since I installed them! I typically see 2-3 running around the front of the house, the back patio, and the vegetable garden at any time. But I kid you not they are GONE. They packed up and moved out!I cannot believe these things actually worked! I am in absolute awe. I bought another one for my garden. shed and I bought the plug in one for my tool shed. I will diligently be checking these spaces and the cars once a month to replace batteries and investigate for rodent evidence to make sure they are still working.I'm so relieved to not have to worry about rodents for a while and I am very hopeful that these are a long term solution. Thank you so much!

I live in a rural area and husband and I park our cars (Honda Fit and Honda CRV) outdoors. Not wanting mice in our cars, we opted to try these to see if they would help keep the rodents out. (Husband first suggested traps in the vehicles, but I wasn't keen on dealing with that every time I got in the car! [Yes, I'm shuddering.] I also wasn't willing to put poison or animal urine in my car. [Once again, this choice is also out.] ) We each put one device on the console between the front seats and turned them on. After a couple of days, no more droppings or evidence of unwanted visitors. The device seems to work well. We've had storms daily lately and our cars remain mice free. Storms generally cause mice to seek our cars for shelter. It's been two weeks now and no mice in our cars or under the hood. Our cars are parked in the same spots since before purchasing these handy gadgets. I don't think it is a coincidence that they are gone. I've scheduled the battery change outs on the calendar. Price of batteries=no mice in cars. I can live with that equation. I am just a customer. I bought these units from Amazon and received no discount or service for my review. My review is my opinion. UPDATE: It's now been a month. There is still no more evidence of any rodents in my car. I still park in the same place. The only difference is having this device in my car. My husband and I are believers that these Loraffe devices work. It took two days in the beginning to clear out all our intruders. After that, they haven't returned. This was an easy fix for an annoying problem.

Before ordering, we had no idea if these would work. Based on research, it's a toss-up. These and a few other gadgets like this have been installed and on 24/7 throughout our house for several weeks, and the number of mice seen has gone from one (or heaven forbid, two) a week to zero. None in the traps or caught by our cats. The only thing changed is adding these electronic repellers. Our cats are disappointed at the reduction in play toys, but we are not and neither is our pest control guy. When we set these up, he couldn't say if they'd work or not, but even he is impressed that there has been a major reduction in mice even though it's freezing outside and the mouse population should have gone up inside as mice seek shelter from the weather. We live in the country, so mice are a given. We have cats and a dog, so we don't want to use any kind of poison since our cats have gotten ahold of a couple of mice. If the mice are poisoned and the cat eat them, it would probably be too late for vet care before we realized what happened. Of course we take all the preventative steps we can like not leaving any pet or people food out, putting out pet safe mice deterrent, etc. There are baited snap traps all over the attic, basement, closets, etc. but mice would still sneak into the house. Even our pest control guy said that without poison baiting, it would be a constant battle since mice can get into a home through the teeniest openings and a house in a place where they have a lot of natural predators is a spot mice will seek out for safety. We live across from a nature preserve with several species of predator birds such as eagles and hawks as well as coyotes, foxes, and such. These little battery powered units are easy to operate. We just had to set a reminder on the calendar to change out the batteries every five to six weeks. None of uur pets are not bothered by the lights or noises put out through the speakers. They're also small enough to be put almost anywhere, and are not intrusive in the least. So far they have been amazing in our constant battle against mice and even a random squirrel, and we highly recommend.

Okay it is still flashing away after a few months and seems to be working or the cats have picked up their game. Non intrusive in engine bay and cable tied ( zip tied🇱🇷) to solid panel section.
