Even though my dogs are indoor dogs and never are outside other than their walks I still put this on them for extra protection and it seems to have helped them keep and bugs at bay

I live out in the country and I have a Rottweiler that is an inside / outside dog. I have tried this for 3 months before I gave this review. I wanted to really test the product and give a honest review for this product. I am disappointed but I am giving it 3 stars because I didn't find any ticks on him BUT fleas.... That is a different thing. This product did not phase the fleas at all and they got all over my dog. he is an inside dog so then I got fleas in my house. That was lovely for myself and my dog getting ate up by fleas. I had to go to the vets and get a pill for flea and ticks that last a month and had my house professionally sprayed to be able to get rid of them. This product does not help with fleas at all.

This product is inexpensive, but only works for 11 days on my chihuahua. On the 12th day exactly, she is infested with fleas again. I live in the south where the fleas are bad. I haven't professionally sprayed, but that is the next step. All in all the product works great, but not for 30 days. I am happy with the price and quality. No bad reactions or anything.

I didn’t have my dogs on any tick or flea prevention. Previously I had my dogs on a monthly regimen of Frontline Plus for 5 years religiously… they all got fleasI switched to NexGard but wasn’t happy with that.. With so many dogs both of these brands were quite pricey through the Vet $1200 plus a year with 5 labsOct of this year I started hiking in the woods with my 3 labs and daschund. No preventative The 1st week 4 fully engorged ticks were found on them… 2nd week I pulled 13 off my yellow within 15 minutes of getting in the car to head home crawling on him.So it was time to take action… did some research , read reviews and chose Advecta…Nov 2nd - I applied to all 4 dogs.. waited a few days.Nov 5th - I found 2 DEAD ticks on my blackieWe have gone hiking the same location twice since including today. NOT one tick on any of themThumbs up!!!

We have tough fleas in Florida so I try to stick with the formulation that is similar to the brand that fleas don't seem to be immune to here. This one has the same ingredients. When I put it on the dog, there seemed to be a lot in the tube. I went up and down his back in spots about three times. The one that is dangerous to cats seems to work the best here for fleas. The name brand and this brand don't seem to be harmful to our cats but we put it on in the evening when the cats and dog aren't laying together and we watch them all for a reaction and haven't had one with this or the name brand.Does it work? Not sure yet. We have a German shepherd and they are prone to allergies and skin problems so he still itches, bites and scratches but maybe not as much when he didn't have drops at all seems week. We don't see fleas but like the added protection for mosquitoes. This seems to be the best OTC other than going to the vet and buying Bravecto at $60 a pill. This package was reasonably priced. It also seems to have a lot in the vial.As for smell, I didn't notice any and the cats didn't treat the dog differently so I don't think there is a smell. For ease of use, I don't like this type of vial. I've bought a different brand that used the same type of vial and it split. So I separated them with scissors and used scissors to cut the top. Better to treat it gently just in case but they arrived intact with no leakage.I can live with vials I don't like when this costs more than half the price of the name brand and this has full vials.
