Out of 7 dogs it seemed to work for 5 of them, I'm not sure why. The application was easy without a stinky scent. I really like that it didn't make a big mess on their fur. I would buy it again, adventually I'll find out what the deal is with the other 2.

Discussed with my vet. This was option I chose instead of chewable prevention which was more expensive. First dose completed. She does have some itching so I will know better by next monthly dose.

It seems to work well on my elderly Brussels Griffon and Collie x pup. I have the next size up for her for this month.

I am calling the provecta representative on the phone line to determine a solution to go forwardHere is the product photo I purchased. I have now used (3) doses since purchasing on April 17 ... my 6 year old shihtzu is groomed and maintained regularly. I live alone and she and 2 cats are very well taken care of with their needs often coming before my own. I am new to this product ( usually use the veterinary product that is given when I have her shots ) I thought this would be a more budget friendly alternative as I'm now older and need to maintain a rigid financial plan. Her hair / fur was long and coat was thick and beautiful when I administered the first dose. I took her to be groomed end first of May and the groomer called and told me she would require a flea bath at an additional charge because she was covered in fleas!!! I was astonished and explained I had used the Provecta end of April. She said she had mixed reviews on the product but it was a hit or miss product in her opinion. She also said since I had more doses to perhaps dose again after her grooming. She had thought because her hair was so long it didn't get to the scalp effectively. She also said that she would need to have her hair/fur trimmed and cut way back short with these fleas they were making her scratch and get scabs and the long hair making hard to heal ... this was unbelievable and was heartbreaking. So I reluctantly agreed. The grooming was almost double with the flea bath and extra hair cut and attending to scabs. So now I'm sad with my fur baby in agony scratching scabs. So she was flea free and I dosed her again within 24 hours she had fleas on her again. I could see them ! I couldn't believe it !! Her next grooming they said they recommended shaving her down. My groomer was heartbroken to have to tell me. I wished you'd came to me and asked me before you switched her flea prevention medication. Now my beauty is shaven down to the scalp and looks so tiny and pitiful ( she is only about 8 pounds and I was using the 11-20 pound product) and with scabs very visible she looks like she is ill . This was a grievous blow and I again re read the directions and I dose her exactly on scalp behind head as shown. It has not been effective at all!!! She has had fleas constantly now. She scratches until she cries. I am afraid to administer more or another kind and I'm seeking a solution. If I take her to the vet they said they can give her ointment and do a blood panel but they said they never recommend other products. What is the problem? Is there a solution? I feel I should be completely compensated for these additions and for her issues. What does everyone think ? Ultimately now the issue is her scratching and fleas everywhere. Asking if the company can resolve and have a solution??Anyone else had issues w products ?I need explanation and immediate response with solution.
