Easy install under toe kick of new vanity cabinet of new bathroom. We used with a wall switch dimmer, making the lights a great "night light".

Ran it around the inside of a clothes closet near the clothing rod, makes everything in the back visible. Very bright.I bought the 2700 lumen version as well to compare and subjectively noticed no real difference in brightness between the two. The 2700 lumen light IS different (larger LEDs, thicker rope) but isn't blindingly brighter than you'd expect with over double the lumens.

Nice and bright. But the 10' red strip sells out fast. (Red, 10 ft., is very popular, I guess). I had this on my list for months, so if what you want is available when you read this, jump on it. (Maybe other colors don't sell out as fast, idk). Great for outside if you have an AC outlet available.

This is not dimmable. You need to buy another device to dim the light. Beautiful effect but not dimmable.

We bought this to replace our old traditional round rope lights. The old lights give out a warm glow (traditional with the older style - almost a yellow glow) and we were looking to replicate the look. This item can/may work, but there are some nuances:1) As described, it is not a round tube, but more of a flat tape. The light emits from half of the tape, so there is a "top" and a "bottom", unlike the round ropes. I think this is totally manageable, but understand that you will need to install it to make the light emit like you want it to2) It is described as a "warm white." This is a normal industry term for white, meant to be a soft glow, compared to say a "cool white" which is more stark, more bright. However, the light from this really is more of a cool white. Another reviewer mentioned this, and I should have paid more attention to it. This emits a bright, blue-ish light. So, for our application (uplighting an interior wall) it really played with the colors of the wall and did not work.In summary, if you want a bright light, perhaps more stand-alone, then this works great. If you are looking for a traditional warm light, this will likely be too bright. (I had to return it for this reason.)

Almost exactly as advertised.. but... as is typical with some "dimmable" LED products... these don’t turn off to zero on lowest setting. In "off" they still flickered.. a simple design fix by manufacturer to add internal resistive shunt, but easiest DYI is to purchase new dimmer controller with a positive power kill / off mode. Otherwise nice and bright and easy to install....

I bought 2 of these to use as underglow led strips for my minivan, after doing some research on installing underglow on a vehicle I found the underglow kits to be a bit complicated and confusing. Then I thought to myself, why not just use rope lights? There durable, waterproof, and most of all inexpensive. And I already had a power inverter. So I bought 2 of these for the blue color and the length (10ft). When they arrived I was impressed with how thick the flat rope light was, it wasn’t cheap crap from China, it is very well made and durable plastic. There are “cut points” about every 1.5-2ft, I’ll get to that in a minute. And the connection point between the power cable and led strip was thick and waterproof just as expected. I also bought plastic rope light mounting clips and a glue called “amazing goop” . i put the rope lights in the clips, used the “amazing goop” to glue the clips to the underside of the body panels on my van and put “flex tape” between the glue points. That was pretty much it. After I ran the wires through the two front doors and plugged them into my inverter and the glue dried it was ready to go. Back to the “cut points” the 10 ft length was a bit too long so I did end up cutting the rope light at the designated cut point and sealed the end with hot glue. So far I have driven over 250 miles at speeds up to 80mph with some rain and everything has held on great and the lights still work. I couldn’t have asked for anything better! The other white light in the pictures is also a rope light however it is unrelated to this product, I’d had it in my closet and decided to add it to the front of the van as a visual complement to my headlights and license plate, which is blurred for my privacy. Thank you to CBconcept for a great quality rope light. Keep doing what your doing, because your doing it right!

Just installed it yesterday, but was instantly happy. I used an incandescent rope light from a big box store to provide lighting under a shelf...I wanted it dimmable through the 120v wall switch, not a stupid little dial (like all options at the big box store provided). Also, I couldn't figure out why everyone was forcing us to use power supplies, They should be able to figure this out, and they did.This plugs straight into an outlet with a short cable, and the light is about 3 to 4 times brighter than the rope light and whiter, not yellow. It dims very nicely and is rectangular in cross-section profile, not round. This made it quite easy to attach with a powerful double-sided tape. In short, I plan to buy exactly this the next time. Not sure what lengths are available, b ut I hope more options, ability to extend and cut short, adapters, everything comes with this. No more power supplies. No more additional, dorky rotary dial dimmers. This worked with my in-wall, digital dimmer with remote from Lutron.
