I bought these rope lights to light up a set of reindeer antlers that go on the front of my truck, for the holidays, so they were exposed to both the weather and driving conditions. And they held up very well. The remote also worked flawlessly during this time. And the different light patterns was wonderful.

I think it's most important to note that we only had these lights for 3 months and out of nowhere they just stopped working !!! Called Amazon and they said there is nothing they can do since it's not in their 30day window. It's ridiculous my husband took the time to hang them on our balcony deck only from them to last 3 months! Plus the light setting you have it set on doesn't save when the kick on at dusk they come on rainbow ! (UPDATE) called the company and they sent us new.. we shall see

These are not the traditional style of Xmas lights. The multicolor mode only blinks or fades, there is no steady on. The solid color white is a bluish white, and not the traditional warm white of Xmas. That being said, these lights are FABULOUS and the brightness is incredible! There are so many solid colors to choose from and all solid colors can be steady on, blinking, or multiple modes fading into another color. I would like a multicolor steady on option as well, however the multicolor blinking mode with different speeds is very festive for Xmas. One of the best features is that the cord is clear, not white or green, so it blends in to whatever surface it is on. I like the versatility of these lights, they can be used for any holidays, and they work well for a more modern Xmas decor!
