This saw worked great until the electric motor burnt out after total of about 6 hours of use The company provides a phone number but no one to answer itEmail finally responded to after third attempt They send a garbled email you cannot read Finally got them to answer and they send be the handle for the tool not the power head Then three more emails they apologize and send me another handle for the part , same wrong part Unbelievable Incompetence

I would award a 5 star rating except for a manufacturing problem with the saw I received - a connector in the handle unit was unsecured (at an angle vs. horizontal) and would not permit operation since the other sections could not fully mate and provide power. Quality control at the factory might need tightening up. That said, the manufacturer sent me a replacement handle after establishing the cause of the problem.The saw itself rates a 5. It is well designed and adjustments to the saw head and handle grip offer as flexible a configuration as you want - depending on your individual preferences. I have used it several times, but not enough to comment on battery life. I doubt I'll ever use it enough to exhaust the battery.Chain tension is easily adjusted without disassembling the saw head. You will want to check the tension after the first cut of the day to make sure it has not come a bit loose. The self-oiling feature is a good one and thus saves periodic checking. There is a viewing gauge that shows the amount of chain oil in the head.My only complaint is that the shoulder strap comes loose during use and thus adds a bit of difficulty in handling the saw. I've tried various ways to keep it adjusted, but have not had much luck so far. However, anyone stronger than I might not find this a disadvantage. The weight of the saw is probably as light as can be made and offer efficient cutting. In researching various other brands, I could not find a lighter model. If you know what you're doing, you can use gravity to assist in cutting, particularly given the adjustments to the saw head angles.I will recommend this saw - it performs as advertised, and the price is right.
