2

There is a protective film on the smooth side, tear off the protective film before use.

This product needs a released agent on the smooth side for PETG.

2

Do not use a metal scraper to Rremove your prints, you will scrath the surface and ruin the PEI bed.

2

Once the bed cools, the prints come easily right off, If you do happen to get a stubborn print that you can't get off easy, and give it a quick flex to pop the prints right off. No scraping required.

Note

For materials that don’t stick as well (like nylon) or materials that can stick too well (some PETG, TPU),

We recommend using PVA glue (glue stick or diluted washable school glue) to act as a release agent or adhesive

I had a warped plate and thought I should just call it and get a new printer, but this did the trick. Very easy to install and working great.

It's been a fight for the 7 years I've had this printer. The glass bed was so bad.Warped, lost heat, etc.Spend the money.Do it.Trust me.It's such an awesome upgrade for how cheap it is. I have done everything I can to this printer to get it to print well and nothing has worked until now.I literally just had to take the glass off, remove the screws that held the glass clips on, clean the aluminum plate, carefully align and stick the magnet and boom. Done. The nitty gritty:It's just not quite large enough for the crx aluminum bed, BUT, it actually is quite beneficial as the ledge(see photo) that this creates is a nice little purge gutter for print starts. It's accidentally perfect. The magnet holds the plate very firmly. I was a little surprised at the strength of the sticker. It is still easy to remove and reapply. Takes seconds.I have been using the textured side with Elegoo black pla as I really like it as a surface finish. If you made it this far without scrolling, I really can't do justice to how much this has changed my printer. I was going to just replace it, now I'm about to be buying tons of filament.TL:DRBest possible upgrade from glass.Buy it, it's amazing and quite foolproof.

I have been having constant adhesion problems. I have used Blue tape but print was difficult to remove item from print bed. The magnetic attraction to the plate holds the plate perfectly. The magnetic sheet is self adhering with adhesive to the OEM glass build plate. You need to re-level the bed again after installing the magnetic sheet and the metal build plate. Once this is accomplished, the metal build pulls off with ease, and can be bent slightly to remove the print. The included metal build plate has a textured surface on one side, and a smooth surface on the other. both surfaces work well.So glad I got this.

I haven't really tried the "rough" side, but the smooth side has been phenomenal for print adhesion. It came with the sticky magnetic layer that sticks to the bed, and a double sided sheet. The smooth side seems like it might scratch easily, but no complaints so far.

I WISH I had bought this magnetic bed plate sooner! I struggled with releasing PETG parts from my glass bed for a while (lessons learned!). Now I print and release PETG parts just as easily as PLA! The plate stays put on the magnetic bed of my Ender 3 Pro, and there is zero shifting around! The temperature transfer from the heated bed to this plate is much better than to any glass bed I've ever used! With this plate, I have not had to fiddle with glue sticks, or tape, or anything to have prints adhere to the plate. I only wipe it down before each print with rubbing alcohol to remove any oils from my fingers.Buy one (or more) of these plates. You WON'T regret it a bit!

This was one of the best upgrades for my Monoprice Maker Select (Wanhao i3). Prints stick very well to this. Before I got this, I had been peeling off prints with a knife off the build plate. The first time I pulled this product off the build plate, bent it a little, the pieces just.... Fell off. I literally laughed in joy and ran out to show my wife (who absolutely did not care) so here I am to share my joy with you.I've used it for about 2 days of print time now, and still love it. I usually do not write reviews but I hope this helps someone else. Tip- if you have a Monoprice Maker, just cut the corners off the magnetic part that adheres to the build plate. The top part sticks over the corner bolts perfectly.

This is truly like magic do not hesitate to buy and place on your 3D printer as a bed replacement it is amazing. Stick print stick super good to it and don't have any difficulty coming off once the bed cools. I am printing at 60 for the bed and things stick so well that I have not had a single failure due to non-sticking prints. After the bed cools they pop right off with no issues at all it is truly amazing I don't know how I lived without this product before when 3D printing.

The textured side works well, prints stick to it and it leaves a nice finish. The smooth side scratches way too easily even from coming into contact and being removed from its own magnetic base. I bought it for the smooth side to get good clean first layers. Very disappointed in the product.UPDATE - Seller contacted me and sent me the double sided smooth PET version to try free of charge - So far very good, adhesion is strong, and allows me to print at lower temperatures with Polymaker & Jessie PLA. Even reasonably forgiving of the nozzle being too close after a change out leaving only very minor marks. Smooth surface has a texture so doesnt have a glass like finish but looks good and better than a powder coat finish. Also received a 2nd PEI sheet with a defect on the smooth side so i would say if you want smooth-ish go with the PET surface, and textured go with the powder coated PEI.And 5 stars to 3D Dragon Fire-US for great customer service - will use again!

So I bought this to fix adhesion issues with my Voxelab Aquila, a decent enough printer but the surface on the glass was wearing out super quick and causing adhesion problems. I heard these PEI plates were a great upgrade and cheap enough so I ordered this one.First off, there was ZERO documentation in the package on how to install or use the thing. I had to look for Youtube videos, gee thanks. Talk about being cheap! So after figuring out how to get it installed, I got it levelled, same process as the glass plate, ran through the procedure 3x to be absolutely certain it was flat, and tried a test run. I couldn't even get the 2nd outer perimeter of a brim printed out before everything went south and jammed up.Cleaned it all up, changed a few settings in Cura, notably turned off the cooling for the first few layers, re-sliced the models, and another test print that also failed further on but still spectacularly.Felt the PEI plate and it feels slick and oily. No clue how they expect ANYTHING to stick to that. So I grabbed a few alcohol sanitizing wipes and kind of got after it until the slick feeling went away.Printing out another test run, and so far first layer is down with no real notable issues.Printing out a case for a Raspberry Pi 4B, maybe being blindly hopeful I can find one before 2025 but worth trying...

Works like it should. Switched to pei from glass and never looked back. Glass held the pla well, a little too well. Had issues with petg on glass. Switched to these double sided pei sheets and have not had any issues. PETG will stick very well to the smooth side. I suggest pulling off the part while the bed is still hot for petg. PLA will auto release when cool or pop right off with just a little flex.
