Seems like a good basic compass. Bezel is solid and no bubble. Pointer centers on North quickly and accurately. Interested in seeing how long it will last.

I bought this for my son who is in beavers. Seems well made and comparable to my much more expensive suunto compass. Will buy another when he inevitably looses it.

I wanted a simple compass for travelling overseas and could not go past this one. It is clear, easy to read and strong enough to handle the knocks that are inevitable during travel. It is sturdy and very well made. I recommend this item highly.

This compass is light and works well. I bought it as a backup to keep in my emergency bag.

Liquid filled compass points to magnetic north. Plastic base is clear with clean markings. Lens magnifies clearly. Lanyard feels sturdy, but flexible. Bezel is firmly set and must be intentionally turned. Orienting lines are clear. No "glow-in-the-dark" features are advertised and none are present. An alternate light source will be necessary for operation in the dark. A good, basic compass.

Bought this as my son first compass to go camping. Does what it's meant to. It's cheap so I wasn't concerned about loss or breaking. It survived and he loved it

By no means is this an expensive unit. That being said it does find north reliably. Works to have in my car go bags. Great for the money.

It is functional for basic hiking or camping needs but falls short for more advanced navigational tasks. It’s lightweight and easy to use, making it suitable for beginners or casual outdoor activities. However, the accuracy can be inconsistent, especially when used for more precise orienteering. The build quality is decent, but it feels a bit flimsy. Overall, it’s a reasonable option for those who need a simple, affordable compass, but experienced users may want something more reliable for complex expeditions.

I have been spending more time hiking lately and having a compass seemed like a good idea. When I go on hikes, I keep my phone with my keys and power bank altogether in my hydration pack. I do not want to chance having my phone in my pocket and have it drop in swamp water on the trail. Having said that, my phone was my primary source for orienting myself on the trail.Since I no longer use my phone I wanted something that doesn’t need batteries or a GPS signal to work. Hence, the basic compass. As a test, I went on a 6 mile hike with my group and we only used my compass when we went on new trails. It worked perfectly and it was easy to read. I have to admit, there was something a little special using an analog compass. It’s quite satisfying and I highly recommended it.The overall construction is nice and the color was vibrant (I selected the orange variant). It is super lightweight and compact, so throwing this in the pack was a no brainer. If I had a complain, it would be speed. The needle seemed to lag a little bit until it found north, but I’m not sure if it’s the needle or I’m just not used to old school tech.Summary: nice and cheap tool for a hiker that doesn’t want to drag more batteries out to the trails.
