Easy to use and washable with gentle soap. Comfortable but if you feel the heel could use more support, ge the next firmness level.

Though the heel cups are well made, they do very little to help with heel pain. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone with heel issues.

Very skeptical about this product. My heel pain has gone! My Podiatrist told me to order them. I ordered a second pair.

I bought these because my right heel has been hurting a lot. I've used them about a week and honestly it's not for me. I feel pain when I use it and it's not comfortable. It also moves around so by the time I get home after work and take my sneakers off, they've moved slightly to the side. The cushion is not the best either and it makes my shoes more uncomfortable than before.

My mother found benefit from these, which was recommend her foot doctor. I, however, found a better resolution in my heel pain with a pair of firm, memory foam insoles. I only only tried the Tuli Classic. I suspect everyone will need to try to find their personal solution, but I can say this is a well known brand that has been around for many, many years.I don't know what is causing my heel pain, but my mother was experiencing fat pad atrophy. "Fat pad atrophy refers to the gradual loss of the fat pad in the ball or heel of the foot. This condition is characterized by the thinning of the pad, which exposes the sensitive connective tissues to strain and pressure. As a result, inflammation and micro-tears occur."

My Tuli's provide excellent cushioning and are extraordinarily durable. I use them daily, and I've had my first pair for 3 years with absolutely no deterioration or reduction in cushioning, plus they come with a lifetime (!) guarantee. The only reason I've bought several pairs was for the convenience of not having to switch them between my shoes, sneakers and boots. This under-175 version is narrower and easier to fit in (especially for women's sizes) than the over-175 version, so I got them specifically for my narrower heeled shoes where the larger Tuli's didn't fit, and they've held up just as well even though I'm 40 pounds over that weight.Don't waste your money on the popular brand of gel inserts found at drug stores, etc, which I found self destruct in a month or two, when you can get these with better cushioning for around same cost here. Tuli's were recommended by my chiropractor, and immediately reduced the pain of my plantar fasciitis, and helped to cure it.Now my Tuli's help prevent me getting plantar fasciitis again and I can do things that would have set it off before (like sports, walking a lot, and when I'm lifting things). Plus they greatly reduce my foot fatigue in general. I use them 100% of the time, except when I wear sandals or open dress shoes and can't.If I sound like I'm proselytizing it's because these were a life-saver for me. If you've ever suffered plantar fasciitis pain (heel/instep pain that's excruciating in the mornings especially) and would have given anything for some relief, you'll understand. If that's you now, don't procrastinate and hope it will get better, buy these or another size/color of Tuli's now, you won't regret it

I was on my feet a lot in my late 20s, and wound up with tendonitis in both heels at the same time. Thank goodness it wasn't spurs, but still, it hurt. With every step, it felt like someone was driving a railroad spike into my heels. After a lot of physiotherapy and a couple of cortisone shots, my doctor gave me a pair of Tuli's cups and told me to wear them in my shoes at all times.I thought she was nuts. They just don't look like much, and they are not cushiony. But I did it anyway. She wasn't nuts, she was right. Tuli's cups really do absorb the shock from the heel strike. Like many people, I tend to carry my weight slightly behind my center of gravity. This means my heels strike extra hard.I wore my Tuli's for years, and was thrilled that there was such a simple solution for heel pain. Then, suddenly, I couldn't find them anywhere. It was before Amazon sold merchandise other than books. I started buying and they're very helpful too. I figured I'd have to use the Spencos forever and would never find Tuli's again.Last autumn, my heels started acting up again, though. So I got myself some new Tuli's and put them in one pair of shoes (I rotate three pair). I removed the Spencos from that pair and reinserted the original insole and added the Tuli's cups. Ta da! Problem fixed. In a few days, the pain was gone again. Don't get me wrong, I do like my Spencos, but some of the varieties are awful. That grid on the bottom of the Tuli's cups absorbs a whole lot of shock. It does take a bit to get used to them. At first, I was ever conscious of them, but after awhile, they feel perfectly normal. You can wash them, and put them in different shoes if you want. You don't have to remove the shoe's insole like you do with Spencos.I'm wearing them now, and if your feet hurt, you should too!

These heel cups were recommended to my 12 year old daughter for Sever's disease by a podiatrist. The condition is common among young athletes. Sever's is heel pain caused by the growth plate in the heel being pulled on by the Achilles tendon. The growth plate is not fused and therefore can become inflamed. The condition is self resolving (once she finishes growing it and the plate fuses she will no longer have pain). Therefore the treatment is in simply trying to alleviate the pain. These heel cups help her significantly with the pain by lifting the heel a small amount so that the Achilles tendon is not pulling as hard on the growth plate and by cushioning the heel. We have tried at least a half dozen types of heel lifts and these work the best. Because she wants a pair in each shoe (especially soccer shoes) I wanted to get several more pairs. At the podiatrist they wanted 45 dollars for a pair so the sub ten dollar price here is a bargain. If your child complains of pain in the heels (and if squeezing the rear portion of the heel from both sides at the same time results in pain) you may want to try these.
