About this item

  • Boa Closure System
  • The DynamicFit binding creates a precise fit with optimized control
  • Fit-Step frame provides biomechanical benefits, reducing musculoskeletal impact on hip, knee and ankle joints by 10%
  • ActiveLift heel lift reduces calf fatigue and Achilles tendon strain
  • The carbon steel Cobra toe crampon provides constant contact in variable snow conditions

Your legs work hard running year-round, so when snow blankets road shoulders and makes your favorite trails disappear, take a break and reach for the Tubbs Men's Panoramic Snowshoe. This hiking-minded snowshoe eagerly heads off the trail onto steeps and flats alike, with a thoughtful design meant to maximize the time you can spend exploring. Loyal Tubbs users will recognize the brand's biomechanically sound Fit-Frame design on the Panoramic, which uses lightweight aluminum rails and a slightly upturned tail to provide a stable platform while reducing stress on ankle, knee, and hip joints as you trek. Set your sights on steeper terrain and know the carbon steel Cobra crampon will hang on when you need it to, while the 16-degree heel riser prevents achy Achilles and cramped calves from interrupting your day. The DynamicFit binding allows for precise, quick adjustments using its single Boa dial, and it surrounds your foot with a thin layer of EVA foam to make sure hot spots and blisters aren't a part of your day. Each time you step, the Revolution Response design allows the shoe to rotate to shed snow, keeping your foot in a natural position and giving you full access to your crampon for traction.

After only two uses, the binding failed on one of the snowshoes. The vaunted Boa binding requires you to pull out the tightening knob, however due to the cold weather (and yes, snow is cold...) in northern Minnesota the plastic part that holds the knob to the snowshoe frame snapped. Does not appear to be user repairable, and it looks like Tubbs will not honor the warranty because the snowshoes were bought through Amazon. Not a happy camper at this point...Update: Tubbs has agreed to replace the snowshoes per the warranty. Props to them for that. I'm leaving this review up because I do think the design of these bindings really needs a rethink. To disengage the binding you need to pull up on the tightening knob, and it requires some force, which stresses (over-stresses) the plastic bracket. The bracket should be made from either aluminum or a much tougher (at low temperature) polymer.

I set these on the workbench and locked my boots into them. This allowed me to adjust the back straps properly. Once you do this you can easily step into them, dial the front harness in and then release them with a simple tug.

Received pair of Tubbs Panoramic snowshoes for Christmas. Really liked the decking system and the ease at which you can put them on. Very easy to adjust. Unfortunately, after six uses the decking tore. No luck with the warranty as Tubbs states torn decking not covered. I had a pair of Atlas snowshoes which lasted twenty years. Regrets.

These are Light weight and great traction on ice and going over fallen logs, the bindings are great and remain tightly fitting the entire hike. On the trail I came across some rocks that I had to go over and they handled great. They might be a little more in price but well worth it over a cheaper model.

Took the snowshoes out for an inaugural run to find a Christmas tree in the Christmas tree field next to my house. They were excellent. No loosening while running and the construction is high quality. Even received a personal note from the person who shipped the snowshoes. They did a really nice job protecting them in shipment. I would recommend these for anyone, beginner or novice. Great snowshoe and worth every penny!
