About this item

  • Boa Closure System - Delivers a micro-adjusted fit for precision and comfort on technical terrain, with a low profile, lightweight design
  • Reactiv-Trac Frame - Integrates the classic flex of an elliptically-formed nose with the perimeter traction of a serrated t-frame
  • X-TRAC Crampon - Aggressive crampon that can bite into ice and hard-packed snow while still being able to scoop underfoot when walking in softer conditions.
  • Heel Lift - Eases fatigue when climbing and ensures better grip when the terrain gets steep

Our engineers held nothing back when developing the new Range-MTN snowshoe. The result of countless hours of R&D and testing, this premier, “go anywhere, do anything” snowshoe is in a class of its own. It features the intuitive Wrapp MTN binding with the BOA Fit System to provide a comfortable, secure full-foot fit that can be adjusted on the fly. The new single-piece construction of the Reactiv-Trac frame with Nytex Infinity decking provides a lightweight platform for stability and flotation. Traction in even the most extreme snow and ice conditions is provided by the serrated aluminum traction rails lining the frame’s perimeter and the aggressive X-Trac toe crampon which grips packed snow and ice, while still scooping snow underfoot. If you’re looking for a premium, versatile snowshoe that’s at home on the trail, in the mountains and everywhere in between look no further than the Range-MTN.

I’ve had a pair of Atlas snowshoes for 22 years. This pair is very easy to fit and adjust. Heavier than I expected so have had to adjust my gait. Aluminum scratches easily. Overall seems durable

These snowshoes are stupid expensive, but worth it. If you never leave the trails across the flatlands, you don't need these. What they excel at is climbing and descending steep terrain. The edges of the snowshoes have a tremendous biting purchase, and the toe crampons dig in extra deep, allowing you to ascend icy slopes with something approaching the certain footing of regular mountaineering crampons. Obviously you can't climb ice walls or kick-in snow stairways, but compared to ordinary snowshoes, the advantage is spectacular. They are also light enough to notice an advantage even on flat terrain.
