HAVING BROKE MY OLD SHOVEL HANDLE THIS WAS BY FAR A BETTER WAY TO KEEP THE SOLIDOLD SHOVEL WORKING.THIS HANDLE FIT WELL AND IS VERY STURDY. THE COST WAS LES THAN REPLACING THE OLD METALSHOVEL WITH ONE OF THOSE NEW PLASTIC ONES.I AM PLEASED WITH THE OUTCOME.

Very comfortable to use. It fitted the spade very well.I'm guessing on the durability at this early stage of use, but it looks promising.I did dunk the blade end of it in wood preservative since that's where wooden handles generally rot out and fail.

VERY DISSAPPOINTED ! .... I am NOT a professional gardener. I use a shovel maybe once a year to clean weeds and such in a dirt garden (no heavy rocks or boulders). Not to dig huge holes or to move heavy objects or stumps. Just to dig garden dirt to clean the garden. This shovel handle CRACKED with hardly any force placed upon it in no time. I am VERY disappointed in this product and have now had to order a new shovel from a different manufacturer. STAY AWAY from junk that breaks so easily. I am past the return window date but it would be nice if the manufacturer or vendor would reach out to me and replace this defective piece of wood.
