Sturdy, good construction. Extensions work smoothly. This is the 2nd pole saw I've purchased in the last month. I returned the first one and replaced it with this unit. The first saw used screw together pieces and could extend to 27'. But it was much more time consuming to put together and take apart and VERY wobbly at full extension.. But the reason I returned it was that the saw/pole attachment snapped off during the 2nd use, rendering the unit useless. The other difference was that the 1st unit included a "cutting" scissor head, which this item does not. I'm fine with this as the scissor unit is limited to smaller branches only. This unit seems much more solidly built and hopefully will last many years. Recommended

An amazing design. Easy to use. Easy to extend. I just trimmed my palms without a ladder and in record speed. Pull the saw to cut, push forward to hit the last fibers with the sharp razor. Bam! Only concern is already rusting edges of the metal saw piece. I’ve oiled it for storage using 3-in-1 oil. Blade cover clips on perfectly.

Baught this to trim my palm trees..Lightweight, telescopic aluminium handle long enough so I don't need to use a ladder. Long flexale and sharp blade that can rip through palm branches with just afew strokes.

I was going to shell out for a power pole saw but I cheaped out and bought a manual cutter.Good decision! This dude really cuts hard and the quality pole extension means solid control of the blade. No oiling, blade changing or battery charging. Just lots of branches on the ground !

I wanted one of these initially because I was too scared to use the pole-chainsaw I bought lol. We have trees around our house and a neighbor let us use a similar pole saw like this one for some high up branches. We knew we needed to get our own. I liked the description that this pole-saw had: two sided teeth and pretty competitive length. Seemed like it would come in handy. We started using it for our front tree and it was really handy! A few months later… a crazy storm basically split our tree out back to where 75% of our tree fell… I didn’t want to spend $1000+ on a professional for all of it (since it was a daunting/mangled mess) so I decided to use this tool to cut branches off myself before we called a professional. This thing is AMAZING. You can see the before and after photos of the mess. I was quickly able to saw branches as thick as my arm. I probably could have sawed one as big as my calf or thigh with time, but I wanted to leave those for the professional since the branches were heavy and my husband was busy lol.I felt like I was in control the whole time - but when the branches were a bit wet from continuous rain, the blade seemed to get stuck. It seemed like user error, honestly. When that happened, I’d pull it out and wait for the branches to dry out, and it was like butter again!Would I recommend this thing? YES. Would I buy another if it broke? YES. If you have more than one tree, just buy it now.

First of all, they used DUCT TAPE to help hold the product pieces in place. Blade is super flimsy and can snap in half. The lock nuts dont stop anything from coming out. Save your money and buy a Silky or Notch. All in all garbage.

This fulfills the needs I have in trimming tall palm trees. The saw cuts easily through the palm frond stems even at extreme heights. It's a bit on the heavy side, but if you are of moderate strength it would probably work for you. Appears to be well-made. We shall see.

I have a 34 year old maple tree in our front yard and the branches have grown to the point of rubbing against the second floor of our house. Previously I had to climb up a 21 foot ladder, with its obvious potential dangers, to prune some of the high branches. I ordered the 18 foot Hunkenr tree pruning pole and received it the day after the order. I assembled it in 5 minutes and within minutes I sawed down a branch 3 inches in diameter, which was 16 feet high, in a manner of minutes. Looking forward to use it on a few more tree branches. Simply an outstanding, high quality tool which I would highly recommend.

Great pruner! I was surprised how easy it was to use the pruner. It's sturdy and sharp, but also easy to handle. I definitely recommend it!

I couldn’t believe the easy and quality of this product it was like back and forth on a 3” beach and it was cut off….the pole was flattened shape for strength the two downward teeth was to keep ot on the branch as you sawed back and forth and the pole height was really high…..just loved the product when I used it on a tree

I had let my angel trumpet trees grow unhampered for the past year and they were about 30" tall. Definitely not a good idea around power lines. I got this trimmer for the length and it definitely does extend safely to the desired length. The blade is very sharp (handle with care!!) and easy to attach to the pole. The clasps that hold the extended pole in place see m sturdy enough, although they are plastic and no doubt will break under the right circumstances. The blade attaches to the pole with two small bolts and washers and wing nuts. It's ok, but these bolts could bend or break under a lot of pressure and wing nuts can strip. I'd prefer a screw tight collar arrangement for more security. The curved blade is very sharp, but depending on the angle and your distance from the the limb being cut, it can be tricky to get that first bite. The blade metal is just ok and I can see it would be easy to bend this blade because it's not as thick as I would like. Overall, not a bad tool, but not one meant for heavy duty use.
