While I don't do much pole climbing, I do quite a bit of tree climbing and trimming and this set has most everything needed for a very simple setup. The harness feels well made, the spurs are solid and sharp, and the 8mm rope comes with eyelets already installed. Overall it's not a bad little stater rig, however, if you're not an arborist, please get some training on how to do it safely. On that note, if you are getting this for tree trimming you'll probably want more rope/ropes, locking carabiners, slings, and a good pair of tall leather boots since the spurs will dig into your calf if you only have on a pair of shoes or even some simple boots.

It's not as good as the more expensive sets, but I got it just for some work at my house. It worked great for me. If you know what you're doing, for the cost of this set, you can do your own work and save a lot of money.
