I have been using this moka pot for about two years and it works perfectly! I don't drink the strong coffee it makes because it's hard on my stomach but add some hot water to it. I experimented how much water makes it taste the best for me. I also add a tiny bit of sugar and some whipping cream to it. I usually end up with a 12-oz drink. Perfect for my mornings!

I bought one of these in Italy and another on Amazon. They have an old world charm that suckered me in....but you can’t make a good cup of coffee or any espresso in one. You have to watch the stove for 15 minutes. If the temp is too low, the water never boils. If the temp is too high, the coffee burns or worse, the rubber gasket between the two melts and ruins everything. If you try to use espresso grind, the filter basket clogs and the steam just blows out of the safety valve. If you do everything just right, your coffee still tastes like metal. Seriously, a $7 drip coffee maker makes much better coffee every time.

I have the same model for years which have been working perfectly! Unfortunately, this coffee maker is making spitting noises even before the coffee comes out, and then spitting the coffee from begging till the end. Consequently the finished coffee has a burned taste. I checked piece by piece where is the difference between my old and my new coffee maker, and apparently the upper part (out of three parts) of this one, has a different series number from my older one. I don't know if that's the problem, however, totally unsatisfied!

Looked good but kept leaking during every single use. Sent it back.
