When we need U508 tire relearn tool?

  • New TPMS sensors installed, letting air out or adding air in to the tire couldn’t make the system recognize new sensors.
  • When tire pressure indicator light ON, after the maintenance performed, the tire pressure needs to be reset to turn off the TPMS light.
  • Exchanging the winter tires or Summer tires.TPMS needs to be reset.
  • Low tire pressure or leakage /replacement or installation of tire pressure monitoring equipment / tire replacement, sensor damage, etc. After those problems solved, TPMS needs to be reset.

Tips for using:

1.9V battery should be in good condition, NEW & fully charged.

2. Please make sure antenna fit in CORRECT position.

3.Do tire reset outside instead of in the garage.

4.Position of tires is also important, Front tires have to be straight.

5. Sensors should be original OEM sensors which well programmed.

6.This U508 is for tire sensor reset, but sensor programming is not possible.

7.It won't work if you've purchased aftermarket sensors with wrong frequency.

Worked like a charm at a fraction of the cost of the more expensive ones and definitely cheaper than going to the shop and having someone do it. Extremely satisfied!

I put new wheels and tires on my 1999 Corvette recently and the TPM sensors were the originals and the batteries long since died. Using the old method of a bar magnet to get the sensors to "talk" to TPM receiver did not work and I was told later that that method doesn't work on the newer sensors. I found this product here and someone said it worked on their C5 Corvette as well so I bought it. Be sure to hold the tool over the first sensor for about 30 seconds before you hear the initial horn beep. This fooled me at first after holding the tool on it for about 15 seconds as stated in the Corvette manual. The longer time did the trick. The rest of the sensors required a much shorter time.

I don’t like sitting at the tire store to have my tires rotated, now I don’t have to look at my low tire light and my tires actually know where they are! My tires are easily confused, it took about 3 minutes to reprogram the sensors.
