Do not think that this tool is going to be sturdy, it is like a kitchen fork, aluminum it will bend, it is not strong enough for weeds that grow with roots. So keep that in mind so that you are not sad, Has welds and material comes off my hands were dark from chinese construct material on it.

Not everyone likes weeding … but if you do (like me) you’re going to just love this tool. I own a Leshe soil knife (another fav) and a cobra snake head cultivar … they’re all great … but this is by far my fav. It’s light and I use it like a hammer to dig into the soil and pull the weeds right out. The sickle style blade is sharp and perfectly designed to hoe through the toughest weeds … even strongly webbed crab grass.

Yes sir! I said I LOVE it! Here you go, the Japanese hit a homerun here. I don't give anything a five star rating, but this thing earned it. I'm knocking on 80 years and I wish I had had one of these when i was growing up helping Mom & Dad in the garden. I can't bend over anymore, so I sit on my stool and weed out as far as I can reach, move the stoll and do it again. I was surprised how fast this little hoe works. I sent one to my brother and gave one to my neighbor. It's great. You need this tool if you garden.

I returned this item due to the handle detailing about 3” from the top of the handle, which is unfinished, unsanded, and sharp. I do not always wear gloves when I garden, and the rough, unfinished, sharp edges on the handle is an injury just waiting to happen. If you always wear gloves, or want to go through the extra work of sanding down the handle and refinishing it, this may be a good item. I just couldn’t get past the issue with the handle to try it out in my garden.

I liked the fact that it had a plastic sheath over the blade. It was sharp right out of the box but with a slightly rough cutting edge. I gave it a quick sharpening/ honing and went to work with it. It performed as I expected. It worked great by grasping a clump of grass getting behind the clump and pulling forward. After the tall grass was gone, I did swing it as I would other weed wackers and it clipped the small grass down to the soil , perfectly. One must be careful to wear appropriate shoes and be careful where your fingers are.

It's hand forged and rough ground from cheap steel. For its use and quality, this is a great value. I would give this three stars for quality of forging and materials, five stars for value, and four for durability and ease of sharpening (it does not have good edge retention, but then again these things go in for hard use). If you plan to use this in very rocky/hard soil, or near rocks or concrete, then consider getting a high quality metal file and a coarse sharpening stone or puck for putting a working edge back on after you (inevitably) chip the edge. It's not hard to remove metal, so sharpening this thing is worth doing. In my opinion, this tool is not well suited to very thick, clay-like soils, especially damp clay; you'll want to use this for well-aerated and broken up soil for best results.

No quita bien la hierba, es necesario agarrar la planta desde la base para que la quite, no sirve para pasto, no me gusto.
