I got this to replace a very similar weeding tool that was used so much the fork was almost worn away. This hand held weeder works well for reaching the roots & popping out the weed. The metal fork is strong and the wooden handle solid. Happy to find this replacement for my old one.

Used it to pull those prickly dandelion-like weeds out of our yard. It did the job and has held up nicely so far. I like that it comes with a little guard for the sharp points on the end.

Ive used all kinds of weed pullers and I have found this the absolute best for better dandelion removal WITH the root. Let's face it, just pulling out the top and not the root, will never completely solve the problem. Once you figure out how to pop out the bottom and a lot of the root, you can whip out dozens in minutes! I live on a sloping property, above a creek, and do not like to use many weed killers or overkill products, which never seem to work anyway. I don't want to contribute to the runoff of poisons into our water. This has proven to me to be the best product for safely and easily taking care of those pesky dandelions.

After reading reviews for several other products, I noticed that plenty of people have never heard of a dandelion weeder. If this describes you, then just know that they do work. They've worked for decades. All that matters is that the tool (like all tools) is well made and isn't going to break. I'm pleased with this one. It's the classic design just like my mom had. No fancy grip, no ergonomics, no whatever else I don't actually need, no fancy price. If it suddenly splits in two, snaps in half, or otherwise falls apart I'll change this review, but for now I feel it's a solid tool that will last.
